It's hard to believe, but this is post number 2887 on www.pink-tutu.com! Who would have thought that a pink tutu-obsessed girl from Derbyshire would have so much to say?
Well, darling, you know how it is - when you love something, you can talk about it forever. And my love for tutus knows no bounds. It's practically an addiction, really. And this trip? Oh my goodness, it's been pure tutu-tastic!
Now, you all know I love to travel, and nothing beats the romantic, leisurely way of a train journey. (Especially when it involves lots of Parisian fashion shops along the way - wink, wink!) Lyon, you've been absolutely exquisite, from the quaint cobbled streets to the iconic Place Bellecour. And the architecture? Absolutely breathtaking.
But I couldn't be in France without hitting up the world-renowned Opéra de Lyon! Honestly, it's been a dream come true! The stage, the costumes, the energy, the incredible dancers... it was simply divine! My tutu just wanted to twirl right on in and join the ballet! And as I've said before, I don't know what's better - watching ballet on stage, or taking a class myself! (Yes, I took a class right here in Lyon - tutus were definitely mandatory! 🩰)
Of course, darling, I didn't let my shopping impulses go unattended! (We have to be organised, don't we?) I snagged some gorgeous vintage French clothing, some stunningly colourful ribbons, and even a new pair of heels (with, naturally, some lovely, feather-trimmed pink accents) to go with my tutu collection! 👠
Let me tell you, though, a good shopping trip in France needs a good baguette and a delicious croissant. But the highlight of my trip, my darlings, was the Fête des Lumières! Now, you all know how much I love twinkly lights, and this festival was pure magical joy! The city of Lyon was bathed in an ethereal, dazzling glow. I swear, I saw my own reflection in a building at one point, and it was shimmering with pink tutu magic! 💖
Speaking of pink tutu magic, darling, I have to share some news with you! I'm really excited about a brand new line of tutus I've been designing! Yes, I know - "Pink Tutu Sparkles designs tutus?" Sounds obvious, doesn't it? But this collection is something special, a bit more... avant-garde, shall we say. I can't give you all the details yet, but let's just say, feathers, sparkles, and plenty of pink are definitely involved! 🤫
Oh, and a little secret - my scientist side is absolutely buzzing with this new project! (You see, by day I'm a scientist in a fabric testing lab, but by night, I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles!) This new tutu line has a special new fabric that's stronger and lighter than any I've used before. So not only will they look fabulous, but they'll also be amazing for all those crazy pirouettes and grand jetés! 🤸♀️
But now, darlings, it's time for me to start packing up my glittery pink suitcase! (You never know when you might need a spare tutu, just in case!)
