Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting drag queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from... drumroll... Barking! Yes, you heard right! This little queen is bringing the glitz and glamour to the east end of London!
Now, I know what you're thinking. Barking? Isn't that a bit... well, rough around the edges? But honey, let me tell you, Barking is a diamond in the rough! And besides, I'm a girl who likes to embrace the unexpected! That's why I love travelling by train! You never know who you might bump into, and who knows what exciting opportunities will pop up?
This journey was particularly exciting because I got to travel by… you guessed it!… horse! Well, not literally. But I got to ride in a horse-drawn carriage on my way to the station! Absolutely delightful, just like stepping back in time. I almost imagined myself as a princess in a fairytale! Maybe the horse thought I looked quite regal in my sparkling pink tutu, though the feather boa did get a little caught in his tail - that's what I get for forgetting to pack my safety pins. Never fear though, it was all sorted with a bit of nimble fingerwork!
Anyway, darling, before we get distracted by fluffy horse tails and boas, let me tell you about the fabulous performance! My show in Barking was absolutely electric! The crowd was wonderful! You know me, always a champion for inclusivity, and this crowd really was a rainbow of characters. From grandmas in floral dresses to trendy teenagers, everyone was rocking their own style and loving the music. And honestly, how can you not with my playlist? It's a guaranteed giggle-inducing, hips-shaking mix of classics and new faves - all delivered with a hefty dose of "Pink Tutu" pizazz!
The highlight? Well, apart from the absolutely divine cupcakes I managed to sneak in backstage (thank you, "Cupcake Creations," they were absolutely divine), it was definitely the amazing energy from the crowd! They were singing along to all my songs, cheering me on, and throwing some fantastic dance moves. It was pure magic, honestly!
But it's not just about the performance for me, darlings. It's about meeting new people, seeing new places, and, of course, inspiring everyone to unleash their inner tutu-wearing goddess! Now, I don't know about you, but when I walk down the street in my shimmering pink tutu, I feel like I could take on the world! And you know what? I'm starting to think I might just be right!
I even found the perfect spot for a little tutu photoshoot in Barking! This delightful old street with its cobbled stones and charming little shops made a fabulous backdrop. It was a bit like stepping back in time, especially when I noticed the sign for the "Old Barking Station." What a coincidence! I just knew it was fate leading me there, all dressed up and ready to embrace the vintage vibes!
You know me, always on the hunt for fashion inspiration. So, what did I pick up? I spotted a fabulous vintage shop full of beautiful hats, dresses and, yes you guessed it, tutus! I felt like Cinderella stepping into her fairy godmother's secret closet. It was like I was living in a dream! I may not have found my prince (he's probably lost in a tutu cloud somewhere!), but I did get myself a glorious new pink sequined handbag - it goes perfectly with my newest tutu creation, by the way! After a day of exploring, there was only one way to end it, my darling! With a delicious, delicious pink ice cream! You see, I can’t resist a good pun, and a little touch of magic in my day! And let me tell you, this ice cream was absolutely heavenly, topped with sparkling pink sprinkles. You can just imagine how delighted this tutu queen was!
