Hiya darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another fabulous post! Today's all about my thrilling trip to North Shields, my 3039th blog post and, as always, it's bursting with glitter, sparkle, and, of course, the colour pink!
Now, I know what you're thinking: "North Shields?! What on earth could be going on up there?" Well, my dears, it's full of surprises, just like me! This little coastal town held a hidden gem – a vibrant local theatre, tucked away on a bustling street. And you know I couldn't resist gracing its stage!
It's been a while since I've travelled by train, but it's such a dreamy way to get about! The clackety-clack of the wheels on the track is like music to my ears, and the passing scenery a visual treat for my ever-loving eyes. And as I boarded, the train carriage suddenly felt like a pink-tutu-covered paradise!
My outfit, as usual, was a work of art. A bright bubblegum pink tutu, layers and layers of tulle that swirled with every step. I wore a shimmering pink sequined bodice, adorned with a vintage rhinestone brooch my Granma Dotty gifted me years ago. My sparkly pink pumps clicked along with the rhythm of the train, adding a little extra flair to my already dazzling ensemble. Of course, the finishing touch? A feather boa, in a shocking pink that practically screamed, "Look at me!"
My heart skipped a beat as the train approached the station. I was like a giddy schoolgirl, a bit nervous and excited all at the same time! The wind tousled my perfectly coiffed pink hair as I disembarked, ready to make North Shields my stage.
As I sashayed into town, the scent of the salty sea air hit me, and I felt the vibrant energy of this North East gem. People stopped to stare, awed by my radiant, pink-tutu-tastic presence. One little girl even ran up to me with wide, shining eyes and asked, "Are you a fairy?" Oh, my darling! You've got no idea how close to the truth you are!
And the best part? There was a lovely little tea shop tucked away on a quiet street. The teacups were delicately floral, and the cake? Pink and perfectly delicious! Of course, I had to treat myself!
But I wasn't in North Shields to sip tea and eat cake – no, this was work, honey! I was there to perform my fabulous drag show, my signature blend of playful humour, jaw-dropping choreography, and that infectious energy only a pink tutu-clad queen can exude.
My performance at the North Shields theatre was a roaring success! The crowd cheered, roared with laughter at my witty one-liners, and were totally mesmerized by my incredible choreography.
But the real joy, the real highlight of this whole trip? Spreading my love for pink tutus, one person at a time! I managed to coax a few shy souls into twirling on stage, transforming them into little tutu-clad wonders, their faces radiating pure, joyful happiness!
After the show, I took a stroll through the cobbled streets of North Shields, my sparkly heels clicking on the stones. I soaked up the ambiance, greeted the friendly locals, and just felt like a pink tutu-tastic queen in my own fairytale.
Before catching my train back, I picked up some souvenirs: a beautifully hand-painted wooden dancing shoe charm (perfect for my own personal collection!), a North Shields mug, and some bright pink candy that smelled heavenly (perfect for sharing, naturally!)
It was truly an incredible experience. My love for pink tutus shines brighter with every adventure. And it made me realise that even in the most unexpected places, like North Shields, there's always room for a little bit of sparkle and magic.
So remember, my darling dears, wherever you are in this world, don't be afraid to embrace your inner pink tutu queen! Twirl with confidence, spread joy wherever you go, and never underestimate the power of a pink tutu to brighten someone's day!
