Spalding Calling! TutuQueen on Tour (Post #3041)

Oh my darlings! Can you believe it's already been a whole week since I last popped in to chat? Time flies when you're busy flitting about, touring, and twirling, doesn't it?

Well, today's post is all about my whirlwind trip to Spalding! Now, you lovely lot know how much I love discovering new corners of the world in the most fabulous way - by train, of course! I don't do planes, darling. I find them a tad too stuffy for my pink-tutu-loving self. But back to Spalding... It was such a beautiful journey, a proper picturesque countryside experience. And trust me, my train attire was everything! A vibrant pink dress, matching fascinator (it wouldn't be right without a splash of pink, would it?), and my signature pink tutu, of course. This time, it was a full-skirted number in a gorgeous lilac shade with glittering pink embellishments!

Now, Spalding, darling, it's the most charming little town, with cobbled streets, quaint shops, and such a warm, welcoming atmosphere! I felt instantly at home - it's just so quintessentially British. It's the sort of place where you can practically smell the history, if you know what I mean. And the local residents, they were absolutely thrilled to see me strutting around in my full regalia, even better! Honestly, they were a real credit to the town! It made my day, being showered with so much love and adoration! They even went as far as to ask if I could join in on their afternoon pub quiz... and of course I did, how could I say no to a bit of local pub quiz fun? (I even managed to get a question right about the science of colour mixing, much to my friend Sarah's astonishment!)

Speaking of Sarah... My dear Sarah was absolutely my saving grace in Spalding. She came along on the adventure as my personal glam squad! The woman can turn her hand to anything: Hair, make-up, wardrobe malfunction repair, even soothing my occasional panic attacks (when I have a slight meltdown about missing the train - I confess, I am prone to that). And honestly, I'd be lost without her. We were giggling like teenagers the entire journey. She's also become a veritable tutu expert - now helping me to decide what colour, what cut, what embellishments are just perfect for a performance. (Yes, dear readers, I’m still working on building my dream tutu collection, I'll never stop, as much as Sarah likes to joke!)

But why, you might ask, did I go to Spalding in the first place? Well, dearie, because of a fabulous opportunity, of course! The "Spalding Arts Centre" invited me to perform there, and you know I'd never pass up a chance to spread the pink tutu gospel. Let's just say the performance was everything. We had it all: sparkly costumes, sassy dance moves, and even a heartwarming audience singalong (everyone was crooning along to a Dolly Parton song - such a blast from the past, it took me right back to my youth! And just to be clear - in my 20s! My youth!).

It's always wonderful seeing how thrilled people are when they see the pink tutu. It truly brings people together, regardless of age, gender or background. It’s a beacon of pure joy. Just seeing the smiles on everyone's faces after the performance? It’s enough to make this Pink Tutu Sparkles heart burst with joy!

Speaking of joy, after the performance we celebrated with some delightful fish and chips at a little chip shop in town (you simply can't travel in Britain without some chips, can you?). Then Sarah and I spent the evening in a cozy, quirky little café, chatting, sipping on hot chocolate, and watching the world go by - such a quintessential British experience, isn't it?

Overall, it was a spectacular weekend in Spalding. The whole town was brimming with warmth, hospitality, and of course, lots of sparkly energy - it's clear that everyone just loves a bit of magic. Now, as much as I love the countryside and quaint English villages... It's back to the city life for me, dear readers. I have some exciting performances planned for London and Bristol in the coming weeks.

And if you’re in London next week, keep an eye on my social media! There might be a surprise performance for my wonderful followers.

Till next time, darlings! Keep the tutus twirling and spread the pink joy!

Love, Pink Tutu Sparkles

P.P.P.S. Oh! And you’d never guess what! I had an absolutely magical encounter in a small antique shop while in Spalding! You see, a lovely gentleman, so very stylish I might add, came in wearing a beautiful old pink tutu... with just the right touch of vintage glamour. He explained that he was wearing it in memory of his late wife. When he mentioned his late wife, he started to get a little tearful and it warmed my heart, darling! Of course, we had a heart to heart about his beloved, he told me all about how she loved wearing pink tutus when they first met. It was such a special moment. You know me, a bit of a drama queen, right? I got all teary too. We shared a cuppa together, I gifted him my sparkly signature "Pink Tutu Sparkles" pin and the entire shop had an aura of warm and fuzzy feelings! He even said I was bringing back memories and happiness, reminding him of his beloved. And honestly? There’s no bigger compliment in the whole world than to know that you are bringing joy to people's lives. It just reinforces the belief I have that pink tutus truly can change the world!

Let's make the world a pinker place, one tutu at a time, darling! 💖 ✨
