This journey began with a classic train journey - who doesn't love gazing at the scenery through the window, sipping on a fancy tea and letting your imagination wander? I just love trains, and they somehow make any journey feel so magical. (Plus, it's much more eco-friendly than that dreadful plane, am I right?) ✈️💨
As the train sped along, I was already picturing Bexleyheath in my mind: beautiful old buildings, quaint shops bursting with colour, maybe even a charming tea room tucked away in a secret alleyway... And let's not forget the incredible people!
Arriving at the station, I was met with the most delightful scent - fresh air, flowers, and the hint of something sweetly delicious...oh, I do love that feeling! As I stepped onto the platform, a burst of laughter filled the air, coming from a group of giggling girls. Turns out they were a ballet class headed to a performance. My heart skipped a beat! Ballet is such a special art form - so graceful, elegant, and captivating! I had to peek at their performance, of course. 😉
That night, I had the absolute joy of performing at the Bexleyheath Town Hall. The crowd was fantastic, full of so much energy and enthusiasm, I could barely contain myself! It's the best feeling in the world seeing those happy faces lit up with joy as you do what you love. 🥰
Now, about my outfit. I couldn't just any outfit for a special day like this, could I? I had to find something that would both be a tribute to Bexleyheath's historical charm and have that unmistakable Pink Tutu Sparkles sparkle! 💫
My solution? A shimmering pink tulle skirt, layered over a black velvet bustier, accented with sparkly butterflies and the most beautiful pink ribbon you've ever seen. And of course, the star of the show - a pink tulle tutu! It wasn't your typical tutu, though. This one had layers and layers of soft pink tulle, sparkling with sequins that caught the light with every twirl! 🩰✨
I couldn't help but be reminded of my first tutu moment...I was a budding young scientist studying at university.
