Carshalton - Pink Tutu Sparkles' Travelogue #3063

Oh my darlings! Today’s post is extra special as I'm bringing you along for the ride - literally - as I embarked on a truly fabulous journey to Carshalton. The journey itself was a highlight - I love a good train trip! All that space to admire my perfectly pink ensemble.

Of course, I couldn’t resist a spot of retail therapy before I hit the road, and you all know what that means - a brand new, feather-light tulle tutu just for the occasion. It’s a glorious fuchsia pink, with delicate silver sequin embroidery - just divine! I had it all matched with my latest bespoke Pink Tutu Sparkles crop top, glittering with a subtle pink ombré design. I am obsessed!

As you know, I live by the motto “pink tutus for everyone”, and the day trip to Carshalton was no exception! Imagine my delight when I found the perfect spot in the local bookshop, filled with all things vintage and whimsical - the perfect setting for a pink tutu photo-op.

While there, I stumbled upon a charming little tea room, serving a delightful selection of homemade cakes and treats. Naturally, I went for a raspberry meringue with a dollop of pink frosting (because why not?!). The deliciousness was so worth the sugar rush – my drag sisters would be proud.

Now, I'm all for supporting local businesses, and Carshalton did not disappoint. From a sweet, quirky flower shop overflowing with delicate pinks and peaches to a truly remarkable antique store that reminded me of my grandmother's attic - filled with old-fashioned charm and hidden treasures.

Of course, my journey to Carshalton wouldn't be complete without a ballet-themed adventure! The local arts centre was holding a workshop on Victorian ballet, so I couldn’t resist joining in. All that twirling and grace, and let me tell you, it's amazing for perfecting your grand jeté! You might even spot some tutu-inspired poses in my Instagram story later - because why not, right?

As the afternoon drew to a close, I found myself feeling truly grateful for this beautiful day in Carshalton. The town has a charming charm, and I was embraced by such welcoming locals. Every time I travel to a new place, I'm reminded of the power of a smile and the joy of spreading some pink tutu magic.

You never know, darlings, where my adventures will take me next. It could be a historic theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, a sparkling fashion fair in Nottingham, or maybe even a day trip to the seaside. I'm a firm believer in embracing every opportunity, so stay tuned to the Pink Tutu Sparkles Blog, for more stories, glamorous outfits, and of course, plenty of pink tutus!

Until next time, my dears, stay sparkly and keep the pink dream alive!

Xoxo

A Little About Pink Tutu Sparkles

For those of you who are new to the blog, let me introduce myself. I'm Alex, and when I'm not in my fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles attire, you can find me working as a fabric scientist (yes, my life really is as magical as it sounds!).

I've always had a soft spot for all things pink and glittery, but it wasn't until university that I truly embraced my inner sparkly self. You see, back then, I was just your average Derbyshire lass studying science (which I loved, by the way!) but my real passion was dancing. I was part of the university ballet club and remember trying on a pink tutu for charity one night, and BOOM, my life was changed! I've been a passionate tutu lover ever since!

That moment sparked my drag persona. Now, by day, I'm analysing textiles in the lab, ensuring those fab fabrics withstand every wear and tear - and by night I unleash the magic of Pink Tutu Sparkles on the world. Whether it's dazzling a crowd with my performance at a local fair, spreading a bit of glittery joy with a flash mob, or sharing my travel adventures with you on my blog, I’m a huge fan of expressing myself creatively.

My goal is simple: to get everyone in the world wearing a pink tutu! It's more than just a piece of clothing, it's a symbol of self-expression, creativity, and the sheer joy of embracing who we are! And it doesn't have to be on stage, my lovelies! I want to encourage every single person to find their inner Pink Tutu Sparkles, and express themselves with joy, sparkle, and yes, perhaps even a touch of tulle.

Stay tuned, darlings, for more Pink Tutu magic, fabulous outfits, and amazing adventures! After all, every day is an opportunity to spread joy and pink sparkle!

Xoxo,

Pink Tutu Sparkles (Alex)
