Hello my darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and today, I'm bursting with excitement because we're hitting the road, or rather the rails, and heading to… wait for it… BASILDON! Cue dramatic flourish!

I’ve got my sparkle boots on, my feather boa packed, and a new pink tutu to unveil! Oh, darling, it's simply divine! Picture it, darling, a confection of shimmering pink tulle with the cutest little cherry blossoms sprinkled all over, just begging for the stage lights to catch their glitter. It's pure pink perfection, I tell you!
Basildon might not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of fabulous, glamorous escapades, but I’m telling you, darlings, there’s a certain charm about Essex! Maybe it's the history, the sea air, or perhaps it's the undeniable spirit of the local people. Whatever it is, I know I’m going to have a ball!
This trip has a special story behind it, actually. Back in the day, before the tutus took over my life, before I was Pink Tutu Sparkles, I was Alex – a shy Derbyshire lad with a secret passion for pink and a growing obsession with ballet. I used to spend hours, secretly, just gazing at ballet videos online, dreaming of twirling under the spotlight. I can't believe I'm actually talking about this publicly, but even back then, pink was a huge part of my life. The science labs I toiled in for my university degree couldn't stop me! And it was in university where it all clicked – charity, a ballet club, a chance to try on a pink tutu. The rest is, well, fabulous history, my lovelies.
This whole journey, being a drag artist and travelling, all began as a way to bring a bit of joy and glitter to the world. But honestly? I've had just as much fun discovering hidden gems, quirky pubs, and amazing people as anyone. This time, though, it's even more special because, drumroll please… I'm finally taking the stage in Basildon! My friends and family back home would never believe this - me, performing my heart out in a tutu in Basildon! I bet I’m going to have more laughs in a day in Essex than the entirety of a lab rat's lifespan!
I love being able to share these adventures with you, darling. You guys are my biggest supporters, my glitter queens and kings, and I just can't thank you enough for coming along for the ride.
Anyway, darlings, the train’s here! So it’s time to say goodbye for now. I'll be back later tonight with photos from my incredible show at (a mysterious place), the most amazing performance spot! Cue glitter cannons and fabulous fanfare!
