Now, you know I always tell you about my adventures in fabulousness, and this trip to Carlisle has been just that – fabulous! Honestly, it's been such a whirlwind of glitter, laughter, and the sheer joy of twirling my tutu on stage.
Before I get into the amazing show, though, let me tell you about the journey. Now, I don't want to bore you with details, but Carlisle is a bit of a journey for this Derbyshire queen, so I opted for a proper grand adventure, by train! Yes, you heard me right, darling! 🚂 It's all about the scenic views and a chance to indulge in a proper afternoon tea with scones and clotted cream. (Don't judge my sweet tooth! It fuels my fabulousness! 😉) Plus, there's something about the rhythmic clacking of the tracks that sets the stage for a fantastic show.
Now, speaking of stages, darling, the Carlisle venue was simply divine. The lighting was perfection, highlighting every sparkling detail of my tutu and dazzling the crowd! 💖 The audience was warm and enthusiastic, laughing along with my jokes and applauding my every twirl. And speaking of twirling, let's just say that my performance in my brand new, limited edition Pink Sparkle Spectacular tutu was...well, it was pure magic! ✨ (I just knew I had to order it when I saw it on that lovely little shop online! You can find the link on the pink-tutu.com blog page, just look at the left sidebar, loves. The new online boutique has some real beauties! You just have to have the courage to wear one!) The entire stage transformed into a vibrant explosion of pink! 💖
I had to stop myself from twirling for too long because Carlisle has a truly fab local theatre, and oh, let me tell you, darling, this show was something else! The dancing, the story, the sheer talent on display… I’m just sorry my friend had to work late. If you ever get a chance to see them in Carlisle, just book it, babes! You won’t regret it.
Speaking of booking it, let's talk about the heart of my adventures in Carlisle - The Horse. 💖 Yes, darlings, a horse. Not just any horse though, this beautiful creature is part of a local stables and the loveliest people took me for a truly glorious afternoon in the stunning countryside! Canter through lush green fields, feel the crisp air in my hair, it truly made me feel like a princess. And to think, it only cost the same price as a good pint! 😉
Of course, Carlisle is a real treat for a fashionista like me, darlings. The little shops downtown have got so many fantastic hidden treasures, and I have to confess to a small (just kidding, very big) splurge on a gorgeous vintage hat! I think it would be absolutely perfect to complete my new “I’m off to tea with my gran” ensemble. 👒 What do you think, babes?
