This week, I’m swapping my Derbyshire hills for the charming cobbled streets of Lancaster, and let me tell you, it’s absolutely smashing!
This town is a total gem! Just picturing those cute little tea shops with their floral displays and quaint, colourful buildings is making me giddy! I can almost hear the pitter-patter of tiny shoes as I sashay down the high street, a shimmering pink tutu bouncing behind me like a joyful pink cloud.
Of course, a trip to Lancaster wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the fabulous Lancaster Grand Theatre. The very thought of stepping onto their grand stage, my pink tutu billowing under the spotlight, is giving me all the tingles. They've got an eclectic mix of productions on offer, everything from classic musicals to daring modern plays – and wouldn't you know it, there's a beautiful ballet production next month! I simply can't miss it, darling! My inner ballerina just goes bonkers for a graceful twirl and some beautiful classical choreography.
Speaking of dancing, my little feet are positively itching to get on those cobblestones and have a little waltz down the market. Can you picture it, my dears? My journey to Lancaster starts with a leisurely train ride, my carriage transformed into a mini fashion runway where my outfit takes centre stage. Honestly, there’s nothing quite like gazing at the rolling countryside as you glide along, feeling like the main character in a charming period drama, minus the angst.
Once I arrive in this quaint and quirky town, the only way to truly experience its beauty is on horseback, my loyal steed a noble stallion, perfectly matched with a fuchsia-hued saddle. I picture myself cantering down charming country lanes, the sun dappling through the trees, my pink tutu bouncing with every gallop.
