This week, I'm swapping the glitz and glam of London for the seaside charm of Bridlington! 🏖️ The wind might be a bit nippy, but I'm bringing the sunshine in my hot pink tutu and my trusty feather boa!
You know how I am, my lovelies, always up for a new adventure. And Bridlington is calling to my inner ballerina. They've got a beautiful theatre and even a ballet school - perfect for a tutu queen like me! 🩰
Now, I wouldn't be me if I wasn't already planning my wardrobe for this trip. My trusty pink suitcase is already overflowing with sparkly numbers and shimmering shoes. I can practically hear the delighted gasps of the Bridlington crowds! 💖
Speaking of journeys, let's talk about my favourite mode of transport: the train! 🚄 I just love the rhythm of the wheels on the tracks and the gentle sway of the carriage. It's so reminiscent of those classic ballet scenes where the dancers are gracefully gliding across the stage.
This trip, however, is extra special. Why, you ask? Because my fabulous sidekick, Penelope (she's the one who takes all the incredible pictures!), and I decided to make a whole weekend out of it. That means time for fish and chips on the beach, a spot of retail therapy in the local boutiques, and maybe even a cheeky little trip to the amusement park! 🎡 🎢
And of course, the highlight of any Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure is the chance to spread my love of tutus. That means a performance at the Bridlington theatre – a shimmering show of glitter and glamour! I'm already planning a new routine inspired by the Yorkshire coastline.
Don't worry, darling, I'm not letting the wind steal my spotlight. I've got my trusty tiara and my even trustier feather boa to keep my glam game on point. We're gonna bring some dazzling to this seaside town, one feather boa at a time! 😉
My journey began, as always, in my Derbyshire home. A good old-fashioned cuppa and a slice of my grandma's famous Victoria sponge is the perfect fuel for a queen on the go! Then, it was off to the train station. With my sparkly suitcase in hand, I felt like I was ready to take on the world – and spread the joy of tutus along the way!
Speaking of my life as a drag queen, let's take a little trip down memory lane. Remember how I got hooked on tutus? It was while I was studying for my science degree at university! Yep, a total change from my everyday work in the lab, right? But that's the beauty of being a drag queen. We can be anything and everything! ✨
The ballet club at uni had this fundraiser for a local charity. One of the girls had to wear a tutu and guess who bravely volunteered? Yours truly, darling! As soon as I put on that feathery, pink creation, I felt a spark – a surge of pure joy and freedom! Who would have thought a little tulle and sequins could change your life?
Since then, my life has been a whirlwind of sparkles, sequins, and tutus! I've traveled all over the UK, performing in pubs, clubs, and even some rather glamorous ballrooms!
And, it's been a journey of self-discovery, too. As Alex, the lab scientist by day, I might be pretty shy, but Pink Tutu Sparkles? Oh, darling, she shines bright and lets it all hang out! 👠
Each performance, each travel experience, each chat with a new fan brings me closer to achieving my biggest dream: making tutus the new fashion essential. 👑 I know, it might sound a bit crazy, but just imagine a world where everyone embraces their inner ballerina, no matter who they are! Think of the colour, the joy, the sheer delight! It’s a vision that keeps me going.
I believe in a world where we can all be fabulous, no matter what our size or shape or gender. 🌎 I think the key to achieving this magical utopia lies in the humble pink tutu! ✨
