Hello lovelies! It’s your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh off the train and ready to sparkle in Huyton! I just can’t get over how much I love train journeys. The chugging rhythm of the tracks, the window views of fields and towns flashing by…it’s like a ballet of its own!
This week, I'm embracing my inner rail enthusiast because Huyton's calling! There's a huge fair happening, full of vibrant stalls, delicious food, and oh so many people ready to party! I’m always up for a good time, and when there's an opportunity to spread some Pink Tutu Sparkle, well, I can’t say no.
It's amazing how life can take such unexpected turns. I never thought, back in my Derbyshire days, that I'd be zipping around the UK in a hot pink tutu, making people smile with every twirl. Back then, I was a young Alex, dreaming of a lab coat and scientific discoveries. Turns out, my real dream was buried deep, just waiting for the right moment to bloom. It all started with that charity fundraiser at the university ballet club, that first taste of the spotlight, and BAM! The pink tutu became my superpower!
Speaking of the perfect shade of pink, have you seen my outfit for today? My best friend and fabulous tailor, Milly, helped me craft this gorgeous pink number - imagine a classic, billowing tulle skirt, like a beautiful cloud of shimmering loveliness, with layers and layers of tulle for maximum fluffiness! It’s paired with a bodice made of hand-beaded pink feathers. The whole thing is pure pink magic, topped with a feathery headdress that dances with every move. Just you wait until I take to the fair stage - I guarantee I’ll leave a sprinkle of sparkle on everyone in the crowd.
Honestly, my favourite thing about being Pink Tutu Sparkles is the reactions I get when I walk into a room. It’s a mix of pure joy, excited gasps, and genuine smiles, even from those who wouldn’t normally think they’d enjoy drag. That’s what keeps me going. I love that I get to spread some fun and laughter, just by being myself, embracing my unique style, and, of course, sporting the iconic pink tutu!
Of course, my travels are more than just performing! Today I'll be checking out the fair, doing some serious clothes shopping, maybe even trying out a local bakery that makes a mean pink cake – you know how much I love those. But don't worry, there's time for dancing, twirling, and of course, inspiring others to find their own inner sparkle.
After all, who doesn’t want to unleash a little bit of Pink Tutu magic into their world? That’s why I have a dream, a big one! I want everyone to experience the joy of a pink tutu! Whether it’s a whimsical ballet performance, a street parade, or a casual coffee shop trip, I believe that wearing a pink tutu can be a beautiful statement of self-expression.
