Bishop Auckland: A Tutu-ful Adventure!

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from Bishop Auckland! This is post number 3346, and it's a truly special one, because I'm finally fulfilling a lifelong dream - performing in Bishop Auckland! This beautiful historic town has always held a special place in my heart. I think it's the gorgeous architecture and charming streets - the perfect backdrop for a pink tutu-tastic adventure, don't you think?

I travelled here in style, of course - the scenic route, on a vintage train, with the wind blowing through my pink tutu, a feeling only a queen could understand! You know me, I’ve got to pack at least two tutus, because what’s a proper queen without options, right?

And what's a Pink Tutu Sparkles post without some fab outfit talk? Today I’m wearing a beautiful bubblegum pink tutu layered over a sparkling, sequined leotard (that reminds me, dear readers, gotta grab myself some more sparkly bits at the shops next time, mustn't be shy! A little glitter goes a long way, especially for this queen.) Adding to my sparkly delight is a gorgeous coral bolero that has more sequins than I can count - oh, it's magnificent, a real showstopper, just like me. ( wink wink)

My hair is high in a sparkly pink top knot – don't you think it just goes perfectly with my tutu? It makes a statement - loud, bold and completely fab, just like me! Now, my make-up is the real cherry on the top - flawless as usual. (Did I tell you about my special blend of lipstick? It’s called "Pink Perfect", a shade so delightful, you’d want to paint your house pink! )

Tonight I'm performing at a lovely town hall with all its fancy chandeliers, perfect for dancing! My act? A mix of ballet classics, a few sassy, sparkly contemporary moves, and of course, my signature pink tutu routine - I wouldn't want to disappoint the lovely people of Bishop Auckland. They've heard stories, you see, of my flamboyant sparkles and love for the colour pink.

I actually heard of this gig through one of the lovely people from the local theatre, she even said they loved my videos online - and aren’t I flattered?! So, we had a good ol' chat, and now here I am! I'm quite a big fan of theatre performances myself - the magic and mystery are always so exciting. Especially the classical ballet pieces! Whenever I get the chance, I slip into my ballet shoes and visit a theatre for a good old-fashioned dose of grace, beauty and elegance, right in the heart of a city! Oh, to twirl around under the stage lights, is just the most magical feeling - and you'd be surprised at the amazing feeling a perfectly executed pirouette gives you - absolutely magical, darling!

Speaking of dancing, I took a class at a little ballet studio just a couple of hours before my show! Now, a ballet class isn't always as glamorous as I make it sound - we get down to the hard work. And sometimes my tutus aren't even the appropriate attire for it - that usually involves some more comfortable clothes! ( But I like to make a statement no matter what, so sometimes you'll spot a flash of pink tutu during class - never underestimate a pink tutu's versatility!).

Of course, no Pink Tutu Sparkles journey would be complete without some delicious food stops! And Bishop Auckland has some really lovely cafes, don't you think? This afternoon I had the most delightful, cream tea at a little place on the corner – teacups with cute, delicate pink flowers, a warm scone with clotted cream, delicious jams, all washed down with a delightful cuppa, just what the doctor ordered, darling.

Right now, I’m actually sitting in the town hall room backstage, relaxing with my trusty cuppa, before going on stage. A bit of pre-show nerves are already creeping in, as it's the most beautiful stage - so much room to twirl! The whole theatre feels like an old Hollywood movie set - you know the ones, with a shimmering chandelier above the stage!

I’ve already chatted with some of the locals and I must tell you they are just lovely! The first person I saw today asked me what my name was and when I said "Pink Tutu Sparkles," I swear the light in her eyes lit up the street! Everyone seems to love pink tutus. That's one thing I have learned since I started this blogging journey. Everyone, in their hearts, loves the colour pink and the tutu!

Now, darling, I can hear them announcing my show in just a few minutes. Time to get sparkly, get into that pink tutu, and make my Bishop Auckland dreams come true. Follow me at www.pink-tutu.com for a full recap, photos of the show, and of course, my outfits, it wouldn’t be a pink tutu adventure without a whole lot of photos! Until next time, remember, darlings, wear pink and embrace your inner tutu!

Lots of love and pink sparkles, Pink Tutu Sparkles. xx

Post-show Update

My dear friends! It was a magnificent show, and I’m so grateful for everyone's love and applause. The crowd was absolutely fantastic. So much enthusiasm and energy! I even got a lovely bouquet of pink roses at the end - so thoughtful! I'm still getting the energy from this show! You guys know it’s pretty tough to top that kind of love, and a bouquet of pink roses always sweetens the deal. It was a dream to be in Bishop Auckland and share my sparkly talent with this lovely town. But I guess the best part of it all is this whole amazing experience made me realize I just have to keep on traveling, meeting new people, making friends, and showing them the joy of pink tutus! Don't forget, the world's a bigger stage and there's a pink tutu out there with your name on it, darlings!

Keep the pink sparkly magic flowing, Pink Tutu Sparkles xx

Next Stop: Doncaster

That's right darlings, next stop is the fantastic town of Doncaster. I'm already working on my outfits. Got my pink tutu sorted (of course), and I think I found the perfect sequinned jacket. Can you imagine a sparkly show with pink tutus and sparkles under the Doncaster sky? I know it's going to be a show for the ages! Stay tuned, darlings. For this is Pink Tutu Sparkles, and we're just getting started!
