Hello, darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and this is blog post number 3388! (Yep, I'm a blogging machine!) And guess what? Today I’m bringing you a little bit of sparkle and a whole lotta pink from the beautiful city of York.
Let’s be honest, York is absolutely charming, especially when you’ve got a Pink Tutu to make the whole place extra special. The cobbled streets, the ancient buildings, the grand cathedral – it's all like stepping right into a fairytale!
But, before I share the amazing York adventures, let’s rewind a bit, shall we?
A Pink Tutu-tiful Journey to York
You know me, I’m all about travel in style. This time, my journey started in the rolling hills of Derbyshire – a proper English countryside escape!
This time I went by train - I love the gentle rocking of the train carriage and the ability to stare out the window, absorbing the passing scenery! It feels like a luxurious and tranquil journey for me. The scenery as we rolled out of the Derbyshire countryside and towards York was breathtaking – lush green fields dotted with charming villages, all bathed in golden sunlight. Just idyllic, I tell you.
Now, for some of you, I know getting all dressed up for a train journey might seem over the top, but that's just me, a little dramatic and a LOT sparkly. A glamorous journey starts with a glamorous outfit, right? And it certainly set the scene for the sparkle I knew I'd encounter in York! You'll have to see the photos - I even donned a delicate pink tutu just for the trip!
My York Adventure: A Blast From The Past & Some Sparkly Fun!
So, I’ve got to admit, one of my favourite parts of York was the history. It just oozes it from every cobbled corner. It was a right royal time stepping back in time. I even felt the energy from the Roman ruins (who knew I'd have so much in common with Romans? Those chaps LOVED their colourful outfits!), it really gave me the creeps in the most delicious way.
The York Minster - that’s the magnificent cathedral. A majestic marvel of architecture – it reminded me of something out of a storybook with the gorgeous stained glass windows. Oh, I felt like a little ballerina fairy doll stood beneath its soaring heights! And guess what? They were very accepting of my pink tutu – I really hope I didn't frighten any of the other visitors, especially the children who gazed with wonder at this pink clad dream. It would be lovely if wearing a tutu could encourage children to feel comfortable in their own skins and love fashion as much as I do.
Oh! and let's not forget the yummy tea shops! They had the most adorable selection of pink-tastic teacups, which are obviously my favorite, don't be ridiculous!
Yorkshire Evening – Glitter and Good Times!
But, I couldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkles for a whole day without performing for you lot. And I won't spoil it for you with details, but my performance at the Yorkshire Theatre Royal, yes a real theatre - I sparkled, I twirled, and I brought the house down! And I won't forget, the whole audience joined in the "Pink Tutu Shout" at the end of my performance - what a hoot! We definitely made an impact on York! I think they might even have added "pink tutus" to their dictionary!

Listen, if York taught me anything, it's that the world's a truly magical place. And when you’ve got a fabulous Pink Tutu, well, life's simply full of happy, glamorous possibilities!
I love spreading a little bit of pink cheer and showing the world that a bit of sparkle can change everything. And who knows? Maybe I'll inspire a whole generation of Tutu Queens and Kings - it’s all about finding what makes you unique, strutting your stuff, and never forgetting to have fun!
