Can you believe it?! This little diva is out on the road again, and this time I’m braving the windswept wilds of Cumbria for a dazzling weekend of sparkly shenanigans. Now, you might be thinking “Barrow in Furness?! That’s a bit… out there, Pink.” Well, darlings, let me tell you, this queen doesn’t just live for the bright lights of London. Adventure calls!
The journey was absolutely dreamy. Took a grand old steam train up here - yes, a REAL steam train! So much more elegant than those whizzing bullet ones, you know? Not that I wouldn’t embrace those if they offered a tea trolley with cucumber sandwiches… Just sayin’. 🚄☕️
Anyway, the trip up to Barrow in Furness was filled with a kaleidoscope of delicious scenery - think rolling green hills and quaint villages with those beautiful brick houses you see in old movies. And trust me, darlings, this pink flamingo strutted her stuff in the train carriage. No shy moments here, honey! The passengers even applauded when I struck a pose in my brand-new bubblegum pink tutu (matching my new purse, of course!). 🦩💖✨
Speaking of my look… let’s just say Barrow in Furness, prepare to be SPARKLED. This tutu is my latest creation: layers of pale pink tulle with hand-sewn diamanté butterflies. Plus, a new shimmering feather boa the colour of a pink champagne sunset, which, darlings, is basically my new colour obsession. The locals have never seen anything quite like it… well, I certainly hope so, anyway! 😁
The show is tonight at the fabulous… wait for it… “Barrow in Furness Miners Club!” Who would have guessed, right? And honestly, it’s a right laugh, you know? The boys here, they're all super friendly and it’s fun showing them what pink tutus are all about. One chap even offered to lend me a pair of sparkly miners’ boots - said it was the only way to be "proper northern". 😂
But hey, this is all part of the adventure, darlings! I truly believe that everyone deserves a little pink tutu magic in their life. That's why, from my humble lab to the stage (and the back of a steam train!), I’m here to spread the gospel of pink tulle to every corner of the globe. 🌎💖
The rest of my time here will be filled with, you guessed it, PINK! A trip to a local charity shop - rumour has it, they have some incredible old frocks and jewellery in there. Might be a vintage vibe I’m after, wouldn’t you say? 💅👗
And wouldn’t you know it, Barrow in Furness also boasts a stunning park with a little café selling the most scrumptious pink cupcakes… it’s like it’s been designed with this diva in mind! I'm talking pink buttercream with little pink sugar sprinkles – absolute perfection!🧁💖
And who knows what other surprises await! Perhaps a chance to chat with the local beekeeper (in my full regalia, obviously - honey bees are my absolute fave!). 🐝👑 Or maybe I’ll even try out some local fudge, which I hear is amazing (but pink, of course!).
The world of a Pink Tutu queen is an exciting one, my loves. And while I may wear a tutu, it’s really just a symbol of how to live life - full of glitter, sparkle, and joy! Don’t be afraid to be bold, to shine, to wear pink, and, of course, to put on your best darn tutu and dance like no one is watching! ✨💃💖
