Helloooo my darling divas! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in from the fabulous town of Morden! (Not to be confused with my fave fashion brand, Miss Selfridge...though, let's be real, Morden's got some fab shopping too!).
As you lovely lot know, I'm all about that fabulous, girly life, and Morden, let me tell you, you've definitely got it in spades! This place is full of pink-tastic possibilities, and trust me, this sparkly queen is here to explore every last one of them!
Today's blog is all about my Morden adventure. Where else would I be, you ask? Well, darlings, it was a trip filled with a rainbow of adventures - shopping for some fabulous new tulle (pink, of course!), taking a magical journey through the ballet world at the charming Morden Ballet Studios, and yes, you guessed it, a pinch of drag in a charming little pub called 'The Swan' later that night!
But first, let's get down to business! This girl has been busy, busy, busy! I know I’ve been hinting for weeks now that I have some big news about my next sparkly adventure. Well, honey, here it is: I've booked my very first tour on a REAL, honest-to-goodness, pink train! The kind with little floral tablecloths and chintz cushions! How glorious, I say! Now, if you see a big pink tulle cloud going down the tracks - well, my lovelies, that’ll be your old pal, Pink Tutu Sparkles! I can’t WAIT for the journey - it’s going to be more dazzling than a disco ball on a sugar high!
Morden: A Ballet Lover's Paradise
Remember I told you Morden was the stuff dreams are made of? Well, it truly is! As I mentioned, it’s a veritable ballet lover’s heaven, home to Morden Ballet Studios, a charming, little jewel nestled right in the heart of the town.
The place buzzed with such energy! It's a real family affair, with young kids taking their first steps in the world of ballet right next to older students going full-out in rehearsal for a big show.
As I sashayed in (let's be honest, a proper walk was never really my style!), all eyes turned to me. They were all in awe of my fabulous tutu, naturally! My lovely little sparkly companions for the evening, the adorable Amelia and Chloe (such beautiful souls!) helped me find my way to the main studio for a little ballet-inspired impromptu performance.
The crowd was fantastic - every little girl was looking up to Pink Tutu Sparkles, and you can be sure there was much squealing with delight at all my amazing pirouettes! Even the stern-faced instructor (a bit too much 'grey hair' for my liking!) cracked a smile! It was such a joyous occasion, filled with love, laughter, and dancing – just how I like it!
Morden's Hidden Gems: Shopping Shenanigans
But even after that amazing performance, the fun was far from over! You see, a girl can't spend the whole day twirling around (although, that does sound rather fun!), so next, I ventured into the town itself - oh darling, don't tell me the shops in Morden were not the absolute highlight of the trip! The clothes! The accessories! Oh, my darlings! Just a tad fabulous for my taste! (Never!).
My love of fashion is something you lovely lot know about! Honestly, Pink Tutu Sparkles can never have too much fabric – or glitter! (Please do not question me!)
And trust me, the shops of Morden did not disappoint. From chic boutiques offering unique outfits for all sorts of tastes to sweet little shops where I picked up an exquisite little floral dress (just because I have a weakness for a good vintage floral dress, ok?!), I must say Morden did not let me down!
Speaking of which, don't get me wrong - my actual goal was tulle, darling! All sorts of tulles for all sorts of occasions. Luckily, Morden was on the case! After all, there’s simply no way I’m going to be wearing the same tutu every day - I wouldn't dream of it! So after searching all around Morden's charming little shops for something special - let’s just say I wasn’t disappointed! Let’s just say it was pink (naturally!) and covered in glitter!
Now I've just got to find an occasion worthy of wearing it!
Pink Tutu Sparkles Goes Live in Morden (with a hint of drag!)
As evening fell and the lights twinkled (more like sparkled with all that magic in the air!), I just couldn’t wait any longer to make my dazzling Morden debut. The place I picked was ‘The Swan’ pub - oh my dear divas, a place full of character and warmth!
And you know me! When it’s time to make an entrance, I don't go half-heartedly, darlings! That's why, I had my beautiful girls in tow. It was an absolutely divine evening. I’m so grateful to all the people who made it out! We did some serious dancing! The whole place just went wild, I mean, that dance floor was simply magic!
Honestly, it was a perfect ending to a perfect day! Morden was truly full of sparkle! A massive thank you to the gorgeous souls who came out to watch! I hope you had just as much fun as I did! And thank you so much to the fabulous owners of The Swan who made me feel like a superstar!
Now, what to wear tomorrow… I think I know! You’ll just have to tune in tomorrow, divas!
