First off, I couldn't resist visiting the adorable local cafe, The Buttercup. It was an explosion of pink! Think delicate lace, floral patterns, and even a charming teapot collection. And the cakes were to die for! Truly decadent!
But what was more magical was the incredible feeling of the local community. It was truly touching to witness people being so welcoming. A kind gentleman, while walking his terrier, offered to buy me a cuppa. Now, that’s real community spirit.
And if you're after a day trip to the countryside, then Rainham is your perfect pit stop. We've got lovely fields, the smell of freshly cut grass and beautiful little streams – truly perfect for an impromptu ballet performance!
But hold on, darling, that's not all! Rainham boasts an impressive array of independent shops! My inner magpie was screaming with delight, let me tell you! So, we had to pay a visit to the delightful "Rainham’s Emporium," a real treasure trove of unique and delightful objects, clothing, and homeware. This was the highlight of my day!
But listen, let's be real for a moment, darlings! Not everything is all cupcakes and fluffy pink tutus in life. We all have our struggles. For me, that often means balancing my work at the laboratory in Derbyshire with my fabulous life as Pink Tutu Sparkles. You might find me during the day, amongst beakers and test tubes, examining the delicate properties of fabric under my trusty microscope, but come the evening, I transform! A quick dash to my dressing table and …voila! Pink Tutu Sparkles emerges!
Being a scientist might seem a million miles away from twirling in tutus, but it all links back to that very first spark of inspiration, that moment back in university when I put on my very first pink tutu for a charity fundraiser.
