You know me, I’m always up for a bit of a travelling adventure, and this one started as a trip by train. I simply adore trains. The rhythmic chug-chugging of the wheels on the tracks, the whizzing past fields and countryside, and the quiet solitude of a compartment all to myself - perfect for catching up on my emails or even getting some quick sketches down in my little notebook! 🚄 And you can bet your bottom dollar, that my suitcase was packed full of enough tulle and sparkle to make a rainbow jealous! 💖
Didcot welcomed me with open arms. Honestly, I’d only heard of the town because of the power station. And honestly, I think I fell in love with it as soon as I set foot off the platform. I love a town with character! Didcot’s got that old-fashioned charm about it - a real throwback to times gone by with a gorgeous, grand, Victorian era station. Oh, the nostalgia! I can imagine myself rocking my first pink tutu with the big fluffy pink bow around my waist. Ah, sweet childhood memories… 🧸
The town itself was a sight to behold! Quaint little shops filled with bric-a-brac and vintage delights, lovely pubs with friendly locals ready to have a chat, and a whole lot of laughter in the air. 🏘️ You just don’t get that in a city! Plus, did you know that Didcot has a stunning Victorian railway museum? Oh, my word, you HAVE to see it! Not just trains and carriages either - we're talking telegraph stations, signals, and a whole world of Victorian ingenuity, and there's so much inspiration to draw on for a performance, my dears. The perfect setting to plan my next show! 🙌
So, naturally, it was time to get my Pink Tutu Sparkle on! My act in Didcot was a complete smash, and let me tell you, that audience was in love with me and my pink twirling! We did a little 'Around the World' with the tutus and I swear they nearly lifted the roof off with their cheers! You just don't get this level of excitement anywhere else, darlings. ❤️
Afterwards, we took to the cobblestone streets, enjoying a bit of local fare – pie and mash with a side of gravy? Perfect for an on-the-go supper. Did you know I love to have supper on the move? All the hustle and bustle of town life, combined with the energy from my show, was just delicious, honestly! 🥧
I stayed at a sweet little B&B called "The Pink Parrot," which you won't be surprised to know I loved! A perfect touch for your Tutu Queen, isn’t it? The bed was heavenly and I swear they put fairy dust on the pillow to ensure a peaceful night's sleep! But the best part was the amazing breakfast, I mean, how can you not love freshly-baked pastries, fluffy scrambled eggs and bacon that just melts in your mouth?! I could've eaten it all, I truly could, and in all honesty, I pretty much did! 🤭
You know me, I just had to pay a visit to the local haberdashery shop, which had this amazing selection of pink fabric. It was like the haberdashery gods were calling out to me! I simply had to grab a little something. And oh darling, it just might have a rather dramatic reveal in my next post! 🤭💖 🤫
You see, I firmly believe that everyone deserves a chance to wear a pink tutu. 💖 It's a symbol of confidence, happiness, and embracing your inner sparkle!
