Pont-y-pool: Pink Tutu Sparkle's Diary (Post #3585)

Darling, hello!

It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here! It’s been such a whirlwind of a week - I feel like I haven’t even had time to put my makeup on properly. Let me tell you, after last night's performance in the stunning, enchanting town of Pont-y-pool, I was positively shimmering. This is, I must tell you, the longest, most tiring, and definitely the most glam train journey I've ever undertaken.

But it was totally worth it, dearies. Let me just give you a peek into the sparkle-filled world of Pink Tutu Sparkles this week:

Tutus and Trains

Right, as you all know, my love affair with pink tutus started whilst studying a science degree. Who would have thought, a lab coat by day and a cloud of pink tulle by night? A dream, darling! Remember my science degree days, the University ballet club, and how I decided to try on a pink tutu for charity? Well, let's just say the magic started right then and there. Never underestimate the power of a fluffy, pink garment, my friends.

It’s been an absolutely bonkers journey, so I thought it would be fun to give you a peek into my life as a touring drag queen and how I got here. It wasn't always glamorous train rides, and glitter strewn across the railway tracks. No, darlings, this is about my passion. You see, I was obsessed with dance from a very young age and studied ballet even when I started studying science. My tutu adventures started on the local stage.

And those dreams turned into an obsession. A little pink tutu, you see? It’s the perfect disguise for me, for a night I become the person I was born to be.

Pont-y-pool and Performances

So, this week, I took my tutu dreams further! Pont-y-pool was the place to be for all things glitter, feathers, and sparkly eyeshadow. I travelled in style on the train (of course! You just wouldn’t catch this Pink Tutu Sparkle using public transport, not even in Wales!) It’s always an adventure, isn’t it?

But now onto my performance, darlings. The stage, you see, it was pure magic! You know those days when the audience, the lighting, and your performance become one? I could see the smiles, feel the laughter. It's those moments, darling, that make it all worthwhile. The feeling of connecting with an audience in those sparkly sequins is just indescribable!

And who would have guessed? I’ve become an expert on the Welsh pronunciation of ‘Pont-y-pool’ and 'llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch'. It's enough to send you running to the nearest loo, giggling and sputtering! It was certainly enough to challenge this Welsh newbie and almost caused me to trip over the footlights - luckily for you, my darling readers, I managed to keep the feathers dry and didn’t become a hot pink mess!

A Word to My Little Tutu Swans

Remember this, darling readers, never stop pursuing your passions! Just because I am a science graduate, does not mean that I couldn't embrace a completely different life and become a professional performer. Even the biggest, most glamorous dreams are possible! And to my fellow tutu enthusiasts out there? Embrace those pink tutus, honey, embrace the colour pink, embrace every fabulous, dazzling minute of it!

And for the ultimate pink-tutu-lovin’ extravaganza, make sure you join me on my next train ride. Who knows, we may just make history!

Until then, darling, stay sparkly,

Your favourite pink tutu wearing diva, Pink Tutu Sparkles xoxox
