Hello my darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and welcome to post number 3694 on www.pink-tutu.com! Today's adventure takes us to the beautiful seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, a truly charming spot that had me feeling like I was back in my childhood seaside holidays.
Now, before we dive into all the fun, I simply have to confess - the train journey was just dreamy. I'd never been on a train that went along the coast before. The views were simply stunning. The bright blue sea sparkling, the sky so blue it was almost white. Then, there were the adorable seaside towns flitting by – it felt like something out of a vintage postcard. As I sipped my Earl Grey and gazed out the window, I knew this was going to be a truly special trip.
Weston-super-Mare was just bubbling with life when I arrived! The promenade was bursting with tourists enjoying the sea breeze, ice cream in hand. Even the seagulls seemed to be in a good mood! As always, I made sure to wear something pink and perfectly on trend. I’m talking my custom-designed hot pink feather boa, my tulle tutu that swished with every step (I got it in a lovely little boutique just down the road from the station – a total steal!), and, of course, my sparkly pink platforms that matched my fabulous fuchsia bag!
Now, if you're following me on this amazing tutu-filled journey, you know that I have a passion for ballet. I simply adore it! Ballet is an art form that’s full of grace and elegance. The story-telling through dance and the sheer physical skill is so captivating! I’m quite partial to a good classical ballet but I also love those shows with the most modern, dramatic routines. This week, I got to catch a stunning ballet performance right here in Weston-super-Mare. I won't spoil it for you, but let's just say it was incredibly emotional!
Speaking of emotional, there were tears - happy ones of course - as I took a class at a local dance school. They’re just a delightful bunch! It was great to meet a group of new tutus lovers and maybe inspire a few more to try out a pink tulle outfit or two. I had so much fun learning some new moves (my balance is getting so much better!) and catching up with my fellow dance-enthusiasts!
To end the day, I donned my favourite vintage-style, pink sequined evening gown and headed for a cabaret show at a quirky little local theater! The performers were incredibly talented, and the atmosphere was electrifying! I’ve always been a fan of the vibrant and diverse world of performing arts. It’s such a beautiful and emotional experience that’s so much fun to be a part of.
However, my adventure in Weston-super-Mare wasn't just about twirling and sequins! I had some delightful time strolling along the seafront. I enjoyed a delicious fish and chips supper by the seaside. Then there were the lovely old amusement arcades that made me feel like a little girl again – the excitement of playing those retro games was just contagious. And the smell of saltwater and candy floss… heaven. But really, how could a girl in a pink tutu resist a pink candy floss? 😉
Even my downtime was tutu-fied! I visited the local library to delve into a captivating book about ballet. It was a perfect way to recharge before the evening's cabaret show! Reading up on history, culture, and art brings such peace to my life.
It's incredible how my love for ballet and all things pink has led me to so many amazing places! From grand theatres to seaside promenades, it's always an adventure! This week, my heart was filled with the vibrant joy of Weston-super-Mare.
