Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in live from Stourbridge! Let's just say this trip was practically bursting with all the fun and fabulousness you could ever hope for, topped with enough glitter to dazzle the whole of the Black Country!
As you lovely lot know, I just adore exploring new corners of this fine country, and Stourbridge certainly did not disappoint. This quaint town oozes charm – think cobbled streets, historic architecture, and a touch of Victorian grandeur. Absolutely divine for a glamorous gal like myself, let me tell you!
Now, how did I get there? Well, after a delicious afternoon tea with my gran (don’t judge, even queens need family time!) I hopped onto a sleek train and settled in for a lovely journey. Nothing quite beats gazing out at the rolling English countryside in a fabulous pink dress and a pair of sparkling heels, right?
A Stourbridge Gem:
My destination? The incredible Stourbridge Town Hall, which has a stunning ballroom that would make even the Queen herself swoon! And the reason I was so keen to perform in this magical space? It was a benefit gala for the local ballet school. You know me, darlings, always eager to support our future dancing divas!
Performance Prep:
This gig called for something truly spectacular, so I went full Pink Tutu Sparkles mode. I dug out a beautiful tulle tutu in the palest shade of pink, shimmering with a delicate rainbow sparkle (naturally!), paired it with a sequin-embellished leotard, and topped it off with my trusty feathered boa, all finished off with a cascade of my signature pink glitter! Let’s just say I was ready to take Stourbridge by storm!
My performance was a whirlwind of twirls, spins, and pirouettes, incorporating elements of classical ballet, tap, and a touch of … let’s just say ‘camp’! I know it’s a classic move but I sprinkled in my iconic ‘pink glitter sprinkle’ for good measure. It’s always a crowd pleaser, and those Stourbridge locals certainly weren't disappointed! The cheers, the laughter, and the genuine joy from the audience simply filled my heart. It’s these moments that remind me why I do what I do!
Adventures Beyond the Ballroom:
But darling, Stourbridge had so much more to offer! After my spectacular performance, I popped over to the town's market – I simply couldn’t resist a spot of shopping! You can imagine my delight at finding a little boutique called ‘Pink Princess’, it was like fate had brought me to Stourbridge itself! I treated myself to the most stunningly beautiful rose pink beret, perfect for adding a touch of Parisian chic to any outfit. You can be sure I'll be rocking it with my next tutu ensemble.
Then, for a bit of cultural immersion, I went on a guided tour of the Glass Museum, it’s world famous you know! Learning about the art of glassblowing was fascinating and made me see the world of beauty and design in a completely new light (pardon the pun!).
To wrap up a truly glorious day, I had a delectable dinner at a local Italian restaurant - it’s hard to beat pasta with a glass of Pinot Grigio after a busy day, wouldn’t you agree?
