Hello my lovely darlings! 💖 Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to whisk you away to the Emerald Isle! This week's adventure has taken me to the wonderful city of Belfast, and I've been simply swathed in glitter and sequins (not to mention tutus of course!) - just as any queen should be! 👑
Now, I'll be honest, getting to Belfast wasn't the most glamorous experience - but, a journey is always a part of the fun, right? You see, this queen doesn't drive - no, no! The ultimate queenly travel mode, in my humble opinion, is the glorious, rumbling train! Just imagine - the soft thrum of the engine, the smell of freshly baked pasties in the carriage, and the endless view of fields whizzing past! Oh, how it sparks my imagination! (Plus, a great opportunity to strike a pose for the 'gram with my fabulously-large suitcase overflowing with sequins and feathers!)
Belfast welcomed me with open arms (and, I must say, incredibly charming accents! I do adore a lovely brogue!). My journey kicked off with a trip to the fantastic City Hall - I simply had to have a photo with the giant clock tower! (Not to mention the gorgeous floral arrangements in the council chambers, they truly set the scene for a regal queen like myself!)
Of course, no trip to Belfast is complete without a spot of ballet. And wouldn't you know it, I stumbled upon the most divine dance school just across from City Hall! It felt like fate had planned it, don't you think? I simply had to give their adult ballet class a go! Now, don't be fooled, it was a much tougher class than you might think! I found myself huffing and puffing at the end of those plies, but oh! That sense of accomplishment at nailing that elegant fouetté - worth every single twirl! ✨
But hold your horses, there's more! The real treat was in store for the evening - a live performance at a truly fabulous venue called The MAC. Imagine, a beautiful art centre buzzing with creativity and the energy of the crowd - pure magic! As soon as I stepped onto the stage, all those twirls and kicks came back to me as though it was my own personal dance studio! The crowd roared, showered me with applause and confetti, and oh my! Was that a bouquet of lilies they were waving? That, darlings, is what we call true performance glamour!
Before I even reached Belfast, my brain was buzzing with ideas for outfits, props, and themes. Oh, the creative juice! It truly felt like the colours of my inspiration palette were even brighter than usual! Now, imagine my excitement when I discovered a quaint shop in the heart of Belfast called "Tutu-licious". It's truly a wonderland of tulle and satin, a true princess' paradise! Let me tell you, my love affair with pink tutus really blossomed here. They're more than just clothing, they're a symbol of joy, fun, and that fearless inner queen that's within each of us! 👑
But it wasn't all sequins and twirls! I also enjoyed a truly charming day trip to the stunning coast. The rugged cliffs, the salty breeze - it was like a scene out of a fairytale. Oh, the stunning beaches, how they inspire dreams of pirouettes on the sand! (Don't worry, darlings, I wasn't wearing my full tutu at the seaside, just a dainty little ballet skirt for some coastal pirouettes!) 🩰
Speaking of inspiration, I just have to tell you about a truly magical encounter. While taking in the sights at Queen's University, I ran into a lovely woman who happened to be a lifelong ballerina. She was simply radiant - her eyes were sparkling with the sheer joy of dancing! We had such a lovely conversation, she was enthralled by my tutu (well, of course she would be, it was the most fabulous pink tutu in Belfast!), and told me all about her life as a dancer.
This journey, my darlings, is so much more than just a series of pink tutus and grand twirls! It's about opening our hearts to new experiences, inspiring one another with joy, and embracing the extraordinary magic that comes from following our hearts.
