Wembley, oh Wembley! ✨ 🩰💖

Hello darlings! It’s your favourite tutu-tastic queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here with a whopping blog post number 3923! I've just finished another fabulous trip to the beautiful Wembley, and oh my, what a treat it was!

The train journey down was divine, I had the whole carriage to myself, which is practically a luxury nowadays, isn't it? I put on my sparkly pink headphones, sipped on a raspberry ripple milkshake, and settled into my own little world, lost in the melodies of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. I couldn't resist, the performance was at the Royal Albert Hall next week and I had to brush up on the classics. My absolute favourite bit of Phantom has to be the chandelier scene – you just know it’s going to be dramatic, it’s utterly beautiful. The whole set is dazzling.

Anyway, back to Wembley. The main purpose of the trip? I’ve got a bit of a reputation, you see, for my “Bring Back the Tutu!” campaign. I really think every woman should have at least one tutu in their life, even just to wear around the house. They just make you feel so much more fabulous! And Wembley was where the UK’s biggest and best fair was being held - a huge opportunity for me!

My new “sparkle your inner fairy” act involves a dazzling light show with a twist – my costume this time? It was a magnificent pink feather tutu. The colours really popped in the light and the movement of the feathers was amazing, my whole outfit shimmered and sparkled as I moved around the stage. I'd decided that the bigger the feathers, the more magical the light show. Let me tell you, when you’re performing live with bright pink feathers you’re bound to attract some attention. It’s a lot of fun, it's dramatic, and it really is the perfect outfit for dazzling a crowd.

After I'd completed my act, the audience came over to compliment me on my tutu, and I just couldn't help but ask everyone about their love of tutus! There were quite a few people who admitted they had one in the cupboard they'd kept since their ballet days. I’d even managed to persuade a young lad, with his dad in tow, to get one to match his girlfriend's. It’s all about having a bit of fun, right?

There's this feeling you get when you wear a tutu – a sense of pure joy and whimsy, as if you can float on air. They just give you such a wonderful boost of confidence, and you just feel like a proper princess! You see, that's the point. It’s the ultimate way to spread a little bit of sunshine and happiness, and it really does make people smile, which I think is really important.

The fun, however, wasn't over yet. The evening was a real treat because, well, how could I pass up a ballet show at Wembley’s amazing theatre, particularly after performing earlier? This particular night it was a production of Sleeping Beauty, which was divine. What was really great was watching some of the children who had watched my performance enjoying the performance too – I could tell they were enthralled by the magic. The whole ballet felt so real. All I needed was a delicious slice of cake with a little pink cupcake on top to complete the evening, you know, a perfect evening.

What a beautiful trip that was. Now, my darlings, as we move into Autumn, remember, even if you can’t fit a trip to Wembley into your diary, remember – pink tutus are perfect for all seasons. Wear it proudly, dance your way to a wonderful time, and, remember: “Keep those tutus spinning”!

Lots of love and pink sparkle,

Pink Tutu Sparkles x

It’s the end of my blog for now, darlings. I must get back to my day job – testing fabrics. Yes, it may seem odd, you might think, what’s a pink tutu queen doing in a science lab? But, it’s quite an important role. I need to ensure the materials I’m working on have a beautiful shine and silky soft touch - like my beloved tutus. I’m a bit of a science geek at heart - you might not think it with all these pretty things going on, but it is so true, and I have always loved textiles too, from fashioning fabrics into wearable masterpieces for myself or making the occasional “new outfit for the dog” in the rare event she gets the giggles, which does occasionally happen!

Before I go, darling, I can't wait to share all the fabulous fun that will unfold this week on my website, www.pink-tutu.com. Pop back tomorrow, I'll be posting a lovely little blog about a weekend adventure, you won't believe it, my dears! It involves horses. Oh yes!

Ciao for now and stay sparkly,

Pink Tutu Sparkles x
