Barking Calling! (Pink Tutu Blog Post #3986)

Oh darling, how exciting! This is blog post number 3986, can you believe it? It seems like only yesterday I was a shy little science student, hiding my true colours (pink, of course!) in the lab. But here I am, Pink Tutu Sparkles, living my best life and spreading the joy of pink tutus all over the country!

This week, I'm off on a grand adventure to the wonderful world of Barking. Now, I know what you're thinking: Barking? But trust me, darling, it's not as ruff as it sounds! This week, I'm spreading my tutu magic at the local fair and sharing my passion for ballet with the good folk of Barking. I've been practising my twirls and prepping my wardrobe (which is a whole other adventure!), and I can't wait to show off all the pretty pinks I've got planned.

Now, I've never been one for travel by car (too many stops and not enough time for pink tutu posing!), so naturally I opted for the scenic train journey to Barking. Honestly, it's the only way to truly enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside! It gave me the perfect opportunity to catch up on my favourite ballet show clips on my phone and admire my reflection in the windows. I mean, who doesn't love a little impromptu pink tutu fashion show on a train, right? 😉

The journey was filled with exciting adventures. First, I met the most adorable couple on the platform - they were headed to a dog show in Barking and were positively delighted to hear I was a fellow lover of all things pink! Naturally, I couldn't resist showing off my signature pink tutu to their little shih tzu, and it was an instant hit!

Then, of course, there was the obligatory stop at the station cafe for a delicious, pink iced latte! It’s just not a journey without some delightful sugar and caffeine.

The journey to Barking was certainly a pink-filled adventure, and the fun's only just begun! This fair promises to be a blast. You know I'll be bringing my A-game – dazzling sequins, shimmering feathers, and plenty of playful pink twirling, of course!

I've already prepped a selection of fabulous tutus for the fair, from a frothy, cloud-like tutu in bubblegum pink for my opening performance, to a sparkly, electric fuchsia tutu with plumes for my final act. I even have a sequined pink tutu top I’m planning to wear – can you imagine the sheer magic? It's going to be a pink explosion, and I can’t wait to see everyone's reactions.

I can already imagine the delighted smiles, the wide-eyed stares, the enthusiastic claps of applause. My ultimate goal, of course, is to get everyone in the crowd to twirl in a pink tutu! Because life's too short to be anything but fabulous!

Don't worry, darlings, I'll be back soon to share all the fun and shenanigans from the Barking fair.

Until then, remember, stay true to yourself and embrace your inner pink tutu princess!

Much love, Pink Tutu Sparkles xx

## Tutu Time in Barking (Day 1!)

Okay darlings, it's time for a Pink Tutu Sparkles update straight from the fabulous fairgrounds of Barking! The atmosphere is electric, the air smells like candy floss and fresh popcorn, and I can feel the energy buzzing around me as I write this! It’s like a kaleidoscope of colours, but you know I’m bringing that much needed pop of pink to this party.

My first day at the fair was a whirlwind of excitement, sunshine, and of course, tons and tons of pink tutus! I arrived early this morning to set up my stand. You wouldn’t believe the amount of sequins and glitter that flew around as I assembled it all, darling! Luckily, my friend – the wonderfully stylish Miss Violet (she’s an absolute icon) – helped me out with everything and brought me my pre-show lunch – a fabulously pink-themed scone and jam that was practically the colour of my own pink cheeks.

The weather’s been absolutely glorious, just the sort of sunshine you’d dream of for a day of glitter and fun. I'm lucky enough to have a nice shaded spot by the candy floss stall, with views overlooking all the games and attractions – think a bit of carnival chaos mixed with classic British seaside fun. You can almost feel the holiday spirit, even if it is November!

And I have to say, darling, Barking has not disappointed! There are so many friendly faces and lots of kids laughing and running around (bless them, it’s wonderful). And of course, all of them are looking absolutely delightful in the sunshine!

The best part, of course, is seeing everyone’s reactions to my pink tutus. They’re just magnetic! People stop in their tracks when they see my sparkly stand, and it’s hard to deny the sheer sparkle of the pink tulle on display. I’ve spent all afternoon chatting with curious passersby and introducing them to the magical world of the pink tutu! You wouldn't believe the questions! So many people want to know how to wear them (I love showing them) and even more people have admitted to trying them on themselves in the past.

Of course, I was even approached by the cutest little girl, maybe four years old, who insisted that a pink tutu was exactly what her grandmother needed for her next trip to the theatre! She was right, of course, and it gave me such a lovely warm fuzzy feeling inside – like I’d actually done something to make someone's day.

By mid-afternoon I was already running low on my signature Pink Tutu Sparkles pin-badges. You see, every time someone buys a tutu from my stand, they get one to pin onto their handbag or shirt - so far I've already handed out almost fifty!

Now, there's no rest for the wicked, darling. I've got a lot of twirling to do, and the fair’s about to kick into high gear with some exciting events lined up. First up, it's time for the traditional fair parade, so of course, I’m putting my finest pink tutu on display.

The organisers of the fair told me it would be amazing, a real showcase for the community - featuring floats and music and dancing. They asked me if I'd like to do a mini pink tutu fashion show as the “Pride of Pink” parade segment, showcasing the range of beautiful tutus available on my stand and explaining the magic behind each one to the audience!

So, watch this space for more fun updates!

Much love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
