Littlehampton: Pink Tutu Sparkles Brings the Sparkle!

Hello my gorgeous darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the lovely Littlehampton, where the sea breeze is blowing, the seagulls are screeching, and I’m about to spread some serious pink tutu joy!

This is post number 3988, can you believe it? Another day, another pink tutu, another opportunity to spread the love and inspire you all to embrace your inner sparkly self! 💖

Today’s trip has a very special theme – Ballet! Oh, how I love ballet. Those beautiful costumes, the intricate movements, the stories told through dance...it’s truly magical. So I’ve got my very own ballet tutu on today, a blush pink confection with delicate tulle layers and a scattering of tiny pink pearls. It’s simply divine.

But how did I get here? Well, the journey started back in Derbyshire, where my science lab awaited me for another day of textile testing. My day job is pretty cool, I’ll admit, but it doesn’t exactly provide the same creative outlet as, say, twirling around in a sparkly pink tutu in front of an audience! I’m a bit of a whirlwind of pink glitter, truth be told!

To be honest, you could say that my obsession with tutus started way back in university. It was the first year of my science degree, and I joined the ballet club on a whim. A friend dared me to try on a tutu for a charity fundraiser, and, well, you can imagine the rest! It was an absolute revelation! The moment I spun in that pink tutu, a magical transformation took place. It was a pink moment. ✨

So, how does a Derbyshire science nerd turn into Pink Tutu Sparkles, a travelling drag queen extraordinaire? It all comes down to passion. I'm passionate about fashion, about spreading joy through dance and performance, and of course, about encouraging everyone to wear a pink tutu at least once in their life!

But how does a queen like myself get around, you might ask? The train! It’s an absolutely delightful way to travel – and let’s be honest, I do like to travel in style! You know, pink and glittery luggage, tutus meticulously packed (nothing too rumpled!), and a generous splash of sparkling lip gloss to match my dazzling outfits.

Today’s train journey was even more exciting than usual! Imagine my joy at finding out a handsome young gentleman on the train was also a ballet dancer. What are the chances? Turns out he’s an up-and-coming star with a stunning pirouette and some seriously impressive leaps. He was so complimentary about my tutu – bless his cotton socks!

But of course, Littlehampton wasn’t the final destination. After my train journey, I had the ultimate treat – a horseback ride through the English countryside! Talk about an exciting, exhilarating experience! I had to find a pink tutu to match, obviously, so it wasn’t a total clash. That tutu wasn’t your traditional ballerina style though. It was made for riding, a lovely soft satin in a slightly brighter shade of pink that could go from the stables to the stage in an instant.

I had to post pictures to my Instagram stories because of the amazing pink tutu that just had to go with the experience. It wasn’t really the right time for ballet, but when an opportunity arises…

Then finally, here I am! Littlehampton has welcomed me with open arms and I’m ready to bring some serious sparkle to this seaside town.

First stop - a local tea shop where I'm hoping to indulge in some lovely tea and freshly baked treats. You know, pink-tastic cupcakes! But don’t worry, I’ve been holding back on the sugary treats since I discovered a brand of locally-made, handmade fudge that comes in, you guessed it – pink!

I’m going to share the secrets of this delicious pink fudge on www.pink-tutu.com tomorrow, so make sure to check it out! It’s perfect for my "pink things" section. I'm always searching out fabulous pink treats and amazing products in all things pink!

Now, back to the real reason I came to Littlehampton – a fabulous ballet performance this evening!

I just had to wear this beautiful pink tutu I bought last week. It's absolutely dreamy! Imagine a soft, flowing skirt in layers and layers of silk with delicate sequined embroidery. The bodice has sparkling silver embellishments and a low back for a touch of elegance. It's a real showstopper, I can tell you. And let's not forget my signature pink sparkly high heels – these ones are designed with intricate floral embroidery that echoes the flowers blooming on my bodice!

Speaking of flowers, let’s chat a little bit about the beautiful Littlehampton beach! My love of pink just HAD to be fulfilled and of course I had to capture some Insta-worthy pics in the golden sunshine, with the crashing waves as a backdrop. The beach is a perfect spot to admire my shimmering reflection, too! It was so fabulous, I made myself some beach chic looks using my sparkly pink handbag and pink sunglasses – an essential addition to my outfit!

Oh, how I love to perform for everyone, spreading the magic of drag, fashion, and of course, those beautiful tutus! I truly believe everyone has a little bit of sparkle within them. Just remember to embrace that sparkle, shine brightly, and never stop dancing. Don’t forget to join me on the fabulous website, www.pink-tutu.com, for a daily dose of pink perfection!

Until tomorrow, darlings! Keep twirling! ✨ 💖

Yours always, Pink Tutu Sparkles (Alex)
