I'm absolutely buzzing after my trip to Ramsgate, which you might be surprised to know, wasn't just another beach day in my bright pink swimsuit! This is blog post number 4042, and trust me, you won't want to miss a single sparkly detail!
The journey started, as usual, in my beloved Derbyshire. Now, I love my countryside, but there's a certain magic to catching the train and feeling that wind whisk past my perfectly coiffed curls. The platform bustle, the scent of freshly brewed coffee, the clickety-clack of the wheels… it all brings out my inner, well, you know, inner sparkly princess! 👸🏼
Arriving in Ramsgate, I was blown away by the Victorian architecture. It’s so much like being on set for a historical drama – all elegant buildings and cobbled streets. But Ramsgate isn't just about the history, it's also about the energy! That fresh sea air is intoxicating, and I swear, even my sequins were glistening a little bit brighter than usual.
Speaking of sequins, let's talk outfits! Now, dear Tutu Angels, you know I always go for maximum impact when I travel. And Ramsgate demanded a bold move. Let me unveil, my newest pink tutu creation - “Coral Dreams,” a confection of hand-crafted lace with feather trimmings that shimmered like the sun catching the waves! This was the perfect tutu for seaside shenanigans! I'd paired it with a sparkly, silver bustier (because, let's face it, every Queen needs a good support system!) and finished the look with a shimmering pink eye shadow and a statement pink lipstick. I call it “A Splash of Romance!”
But this wasn’t all about the outfits, although they certainly helped. I spent my first day exploring the quaint, little boutiques, all filled with beautiful vintage clothing and seaside trinkets. Now, I have to confess, I bought more than one trinket… a pink ceramic dolphin and a miniature pink tutu-shaped purse for my collection. 😉 I'm just a sucker for all things pink and pretty!
Next, it was off to Ramsgate’s glorious coastline. The beach was bustling, but my dazzling appearance immediately attracted a small crowd. I swear, everyone just wants to feel that sparkly joy! A lovely little girl, no older than four, came up to me, her eyes wide with awe. "Do you live in a castle with all that sparkly?" she whispered, pulling her father's hand with a little tug. Now, I could tell you I'm a modern-day princess, but she got my essence just right. ✨
That evening, I graced the stage of the town’s beloved Victorian Theatre. My setlist for the night was an intoxicating mix of pop and dance tunes, interspersed with some charming classics and my favourite theatrical pieces. And of course, no show is complete without my own signature choreography - a series of dazzling moves showcasing the sheer power of a well-placed twirl and the beauty of the Tutu Queen strut!
As always, I loved every minute of it, watching the audience’s reactions, feeling their joy and excitement through every giggle and cheer. Then, as I finished my finale, a beautiful, grey-haired lady in the front row came up to me, eyes twinkling. "My darling," she said, taking my hand, "You bring sunshine even on a stormy day!”
The whole trip was absolutely divine! You see, Tutu Angels, travelling and performing is like magic. You can’t help but share that sparkle and make someone's day, one shimmering tutu at a time! But this isn’t just about sharing, it's about growing. And Ramsgate, with its enchanting energy and inspiring sea breeze, helped me grow as a performer and a Tutu Queen.
