Derby Darling: A Tutu Tale of Travel! 💖

Hello darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another sparkly adventure! And guess what? I'm back in my home county of Derbyshire, where my tutu journey all began!

As a self-proclaimed ambassador for all things pink and twirly, I simply had to pay Derby a visit! It’s always a joy to be surrounded by the familiar scenery, the friendly faces, and of course, the delicious local cheeses! 😉

You know I'm all about the journey as much as the destination, so of course, I took the scenic route – on horseback, naturally! A beautiful cob called "Sugarplum" was my trusty steed for this grand adventure, his pink hooves perfectly complimenting my outfit. You'll never believe the stares we got as we trotted through the Peak District, the rolling green hills looking like an actual painting, so breathtaking! The locals seemed a tad bemused by a pink-clad diva riding through their village, but hey, I'm not here to judge, I’m here to inspire! 💖

My arrival in Derby was met with applause – ahem, I mean the hooves of the local horses seemed to click in rhythm with my own internal applause – as I approached the city centre. Let's be real, there's nothing quite like arriving in style. Especially when said style involves a pink, tulle dream, some bedazzled riding boots, and a horse!

Speaking of style, Derby certainly didn't disappoint! I did some serious window shopping on the vibrant Market Place, imagining myself strutting my stuff down the streets in every single fabulous piece! The local boutiques really got me excited, they even had some sparkly tutus on sale, ahem, you know I snatched those right up! I’ve gotta stay stocked! 😉

Being a big supporter of all things ballet, I was thrilled to learn about a new ballet academy opening in Derby. It was right next door to a rather impressive looking shop selling horse riding gear - naturally, I went inside! Who would’ve thought that I’d find both a pink velvet horse riding helmet and some adorable horse-shaped ballet shoes in the same place! What a wonderful day!

And what’s a trip to Derby without a visit to the historic Derby Theatre? It’s packed full of creativity, the kind that inspires me every day. You'd think they were talking about my work in some of the shows - the energy was simply divine! There were people of all ages, so much talent, and a shared love for the art. If there's one thing I've learned from theatre, it’s that the power of performance is truly something magical. It brings people together, regardless of background, and reminds us all to celebrate the magic in every moment.

So, back in my hotel room after a truly inspiring day, my legs sore from all the trotting around, but my heart full, I can’t help but think about all the pink tutus I could get people in Derby wearing! Just imagine a whole town filled with pink fluff, giggling and swirling – wouldn’t that be absolutely spectacular? It’s a dream that's certainly achievable, if we all put our minds to it, my dears. Let’s make it happen!

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a long soak in a tub full of bath bubbles and rose petals ahead of me. Then it’s onto designing a sparkly tutu outfit that’ll knock your socks off, I mean, I hope you’re wearing pink socks at least!

Remember darlings, always stay sparkly and never be afraid to twirl.

Lots of love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles 💖
