This time, I'm sharing all the pink and twirling joy of my recent trip to Greenford! As always, grab your favourite cuppa and settle in for a bit of glamorous chit-chat. So, let me tell you about this fantastic trip. Greenford was just begging to be explored, and after a glorious train journey (always my preferred method of travel!), I was ready to embrace the local sparkle. My latest pink tutu was positively giddy with excitement to see a new town, and of course, I had my favourite blush-coloured sequined bag for all my necessities – a few emergency lip glosses, a blush compact, and a travel-sized bottle of glitter, just in case!
First things first, a quick wander through the market was in order. Honestly, the colours, the sights, the smells, it was pure enchantment! You know how much I adore anything sparkly, and Greenford market didn't disappoint. There were so many wonderful stalls selling handcrafted jewellery, and oh my gosh, the selection of ribbons! My heart went pitter-patter with excitement, and I knew I just had to add a couple of rolls to my ever-growing collection of sparkly supplies.
After all that market magic, it was time to find a delicious spot for lunch. Luckily, I stumbled upon the most charming little café. The walls were painted in the most beautiful shade of soft lavender, and there were tables and chairs adorned with delicate, floral-patterned cushions. Of course, it had to be pink. Just look at my Instagram for the perfectly framed picture I snapped! The food was absolutely divine – a delicious sandwich on freshly baked bread with the most wonderful, creamy soup.
With my tummy full and my heart full of joy, I decided to indulge my ballet obsession and visit Greenford's ballet school. It was the cutest little building, nestled amongst charming Victorian houses, and inside, I found a welcoming and vibrant community of dance lovers. They were having a class on pointe that afternoon, and even though I wasn't quite ready to attempt that level of dance yet, I just couldn't resist peeping through the window. Watching those beautiful dancers en pointe was simply mesmerising! It truly made me feel like I'd stepped into a dream, filled with graceful movements and sparkly dreams.
Feeling truly inspired, I decided to explore Greenford's theatre. It was a real beauty, with red velvet seats and ornate decorations that truly sparkled. Sadly, there was no show on that night, but I managed to squeeze in a quick photo shoot for Instagram, posing with my pink tutu against the velvet curtain. You simply must see my latest post!
Later that day, I met up with some lovely fellow drag artists for an impromptu performance at a local pub. They loved my latest tutu – it was a hot pink masterpiece with layered tulle and a shimmering silver waistband. Oh, it twirled so magnificently! You know I can't resist a good impromptu performance, and as I shimmied and sashayed across the stage, the entire pub was abuzz with applause and cheers! They even bought me a glass of pink champagne! What a night!
As my Greenford adventure came to a close, I knew that I had discovered a real gem. I promised myself that I'd be back soon, with my trusty pink tutu in tow. Greenford had a magical feel about it, and I couldn't wait to share it with you all.
