Let’s be honest, my heart skips a beat every time I say 'Grantham', it reminds me of those lovely English novels with cosy fireplaces and secrets in the attic! But this trip wasn't just about the town itself – I had the most magnificent performance at the Grantham Town Hall. Picture it: me, shimmering under the lights, surrounded by a cheering crowd in my most extravagant pink tutu (yes, it was the feather-trimmed one!) with all my favourite ballet moves! 💖 Honestly, you would have thought I'd brought the magic of the Bolshoi to Lincolnshire! 💃
And speaking of ballet, how was your week? Did you get to watch Swan Lake? Because if you didn’t, I’m so sorry you missed out on the absolute epitome of grace and elegance. My absolute fave, of course, is the white tutu, so divine with the black swan costume contrast. 🥰 You know what I’m talking about, ladies, and you fellas better be getting familiar! 😉
You see, ever since I, well, Alex – my "daytime" persona – tried on that first pink tutu for charity way back in uni, something just… sparkled. My days are filled with science and fabrics (though I admit, pink tulle does often end up in the test tubes!🤫), but evenings are pure glitter and pink perfection. 🧬 💖
And why not, I say? Life’s too short to be anything but fabulously fabulous. The world needs more pink, more tutu, and definitely more glitter! So when I’m not shaking my sparkles in a theatre, I’m hopping on trains – did I mention how much I adore train travel? Just something about the chug-chug, the rumbling and the scenic views that puts a little oomph in my step! 🚄
Anyway, back to Grantham. The local community is absolutely buzzing with the pinkest vibes, trust me! We’ve been talking tutus in the park, shopping for the perfect accessory, and they even had a cute ballet shop! Now, my ultimate goal? Get everyone wearing a pink tutu! Can you imagine the sheer spectacle?! ✨ I mean, who wouldn't love a splash of pink joy in their lives, right? 😉
Speaking of spectacle, next stop, Thetford! The theatre's calling, darling, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Until next time, keep shining bright!
