Oh darlings! This Pink Tutu Sparkle is back with another glittering adventure, this time taking me all the way to the bustling port town of North Shields! I simply couldn't resist a performance opportunity in this lively corner of the North East. You know me, a good ol' fashioned train journey is my favourite way to travel, watching the scenery whizz by, taking in all the fresh air and, of course, striking a few poses for my loyal followers on Insta!
North Shields was a right proper blast from the past, but in the best way! A haven of charming shops and eateries, it felt like stepping into a vintage postcard with all the charm of its historic past. I even spotted a magnificent statue of a mermaid, looking just as fabulous as me!
My performance was at a rather quaint venue - a local community hall. And trust me, darlings, it wasn't a typical venue for a glamorous, Pink Tutu Sparkle show, but that's just what I love about my travels - embracing all sorts of audiences and bringing the pink tutu joy to everyone.
This was a fundraising event for a local ballet school, and let me tell you, the talent there was out of this world. I swear, some of these little dancers could have been on stage with me in my glamorous shows!
As for my outfit, darling, I really went all out for North Shields. A flowing pink tulle skirt with more sparkles than the Milky Way (it just had to be, being in the North East, you see), topped off with a dazzling bodice and a crown made of glittery hearts, my performance had those local folk saying 'Wow! Now, that's what I call a Queen!'
And what a time I had performing my heart out for those wonderful people. From "Can't Stop the Feeling" to a heart-stopping "Swan Lake" inspired dance routine (let's be honest, ballet is always in my heart, even when I'm decked out in pink tutu and glitter), the energy was simply electric. The crowd was cheering and laughing and just completely into the whole Pink Tutu Sparkle experience. Honestly, that's what makes this journey worth it - seeing people connect, smile, and lose themselves in the magic.
Speaking of magic, this whole tutu thing really is magical. I mean, I remember when I first got my feet tangled in one, I was a bit apprehensive - just a nervous student at the university, doing a charity dance for some forgotten cause. Little did I know it would take me to such glamorous and fulfilling heights! I still vividly remember that first pink tulle skirt, the way it twirled and felt so light, making me feel free, powerful. That, my lovelies, is when Pink Tutu Sparkle was born!
Between performances, of course, there was a lot of exploring. I popped into some delightful vintage clothing shops, hunting down some unique accessories for future shows. I stumbled upon the most fabulous pair of vintage earrings in a rainbow of colours that perfectly matched my spirit and a retro scarf in a soft lavender, ideal for adding that extra touch of sophistication to my next pink tutu masterpiece. Shopping for inspiration is absolutely crucial, don't you agree?
And what's a journey to a seaside town without a delicious fish and chips? Oh, the delightful aroma of crispy batter and fried potatoes just filled the air! It was simply delightful to have a bit of traditional English fare amidst my whirlwind pink tutu escapades!
Speaking of delicious, one thing I always appreciate about touring around Britain is the incredible hospitality. The lovely people in North Shields were a shining example of that warm northern charm, so welcoming and genuine. They embraced the Pink Tutu Sparkle experience with open arms and I had a chance to chat with them about their love for local events, and about how even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference. Truly inspiring, even if my feet did get a little tired!
But that's what this Pink Tutu Sparkle is all about: making new connections, sharing a bit of pink tulle love with the world, and proving that every single one of us has a little bit of sparkle within!
