Hello darlings!
Your favourite pink tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, is back! Today, we're bringing the glitter to Bloxwich, a delightful little town in the West Midlands. You know me, always looking for a new place to spread the love and, of course, the pink tutus.
This time, it's not a grand stage performance or a fancy ball. Oh no! This week I decided to make Bloxwich the centre of my pink universe with a series of workshops - spreading joy and sparkle with every pirouette!
I took the train down from Derbyshire this morning, you know me, a lady always loves a good railway adventure. There's nothing like watching the countryside flash by, feeling the wind in your hair - and obviously, in a perfect world, a complimentary tea and cake trolley.
Speaking of trains, did I tell you about the amazing vintage railway dress I found on my shopping spree? Oh, I absolutely had to pick it up! Imagine, darling, a perfectly fitting frock in soft blue satin, accented with delicate lace, a touch of pearl-like detailing, and the most fabulous train I have ever seen - just wait until I wear it to a gala!
Now back to Bloxwich - a place full of charm, I must say. Though I do think there might be room for a bit of Pink Tutu Sparkle magic! It's just bursting with potential - quaint little shops with twinkling lights and lovely, friendly locals.
I decided to spread some joy by offering "Pink Tutu Ballet for Beginners." My little workshop was set up at the heart of town, under the glorious awning of a tea room called "Betty's." Oh, they have the best Victoria Sponge, absolutely perfect with a cuppa - perfect after a hard day of spreading joy, don't you think?
I met the most adorable group of children - full of energy and eager to twirl. They absolutely adored learning ballet basics while sporting mini tutus. Honestly, there were giggles and squeals all around, making my heart happy. What's better than making little ones believe in dreams and sparkly magic?
After my little ballet lesson, I popped into Betty's for a little treat and then off I went to my afternoon workshop, "Pink Tutu Crafting." We designed beautiful tutus and crowns. Just picture the scene - pink fabrics, sparkling sequins, glue guns blazing and all sorts of glitter-bomb mayhem! Honestly, you could see the creativity blooming on their faces!
By evening, Bloxwich was abuzz with "Pink Tutu Sparkle" energy. The workshops had sparked a bit of pink fever in town!
And now, let's chat about outfits! Obviously, darling, this wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Sparkle journey without an unforgettable ensemble.
For my morning workshops, I went with a classic pink and silver number - think iridescent fabric, feather trims, and lots of sparkle. My favourite part of the look? My giant pink tutu. It's the perfect way to make an entrance, especially when coupled with a mischievous wink and a dazzling smile! And the best part, the sparkly fabric caught the light just beautifully, creating the perfect Instagram moment!
By evening, we switched gears for the Pink Tutu Dance Party. Now, darling, a girl has got to have her dancing shoes on, so I whipped out a custom-designed ensemble. My inspiration? Ballet - always a love of mine! This ensemble was a graceful white silk gown with a plunging neckline. I topped it off with a feather boa in a delicious shade of magenta, just a touch of whimsy to add a little oomph. To keep things playful, I wore my signature pink tutu with a matching feather trim and silver shoes with rhinestones, the sparkle reflecting the music of the night. The outfit was an ode to both my ballet and drag roots.
We spent the night waltzing and having the best time, my dear!
As I say, Bloxwich - it was amazing, truly wonderful. These little towns, filled with genuine hearts, have a special magic. I feel so lucky to bring the pink sparkle to every corner I visit.
You see, that’s the heart of it all - sharing joy and making people smile. You'd think being a scientist during the day and then, transforming into a Pink Tutu Sparkle by night would be tiring. But trust me, seeing those little eyes light up with wonder? It’s like pure, delicious, sparkly fuel for the soul.
