Tutu travels on the Rails 🚄
As always, my darling, I made the grand entrance in style! The train journey down from Derbyshire was a dream. I just adore travelling by train; it's so glamorous! I slipped on my favourite pink lace dress and paired it with a sparkly fuchsia-hued beret, a total vintage vibe!
Maidstone's Calling 🎤
I was booked to perform at the town's annual arts fair, and honestly, you could just feel the excitement in the air. The energy of this little town was just bursting, just like a giant, sparkling pink bubble! I knew this was going to be a tutu-tastic time!
A Ballet Bonanza! 🩰
Speaking of ballet, what’s a visit to a beautiful, historical place like Maidstone without a visit to their lovely theatre for a proper ballet performance? Oh, I’ve simply got to mention the absolutely stunning performance I saw of "The Nutcracker". The ballerina’s twirls were breathtaking, the costumes were simply divine, and the story was a proper fairytale, my darlings! And oh my, that famous ‘Waltz of the Flowers’ scene, pure enchantment! 💖 It inspired me to do my very own pink tutus take on that waltz the next day, a very special surprise for the audience at the arts fair.
Arts Fair Fabulosity! 🎨
The fair was absolutely buzzing! The stalls were a feast for the eyes; so much handmade crafts and colourful artistry. It made my heart happy to see so much creativity on display.
And then it was time for my grand appearance! You bet I had the whole audience enthralled as I stepped out onto the stage. Imagine: Pink Tutu Sparkles in a hot pink feathered headdress and the most divine bubblegum pink tutu, complete with glitter-bombs that shot across the crowd! My act, 'Dancing on a Cloud of Pink', was all about celebrating colour, happiness, and the sheer joy of embracing your inner pink!
I sang my signature tune "Let’s all wear Pink Tutus!” – I've actually been writing and recording my own music recently. I might release my own EP one day! 🤫
You won't believe the amazing response from the audience. They all loved it! I saw lots of wide eyes and big smiles; there were even a few pink tutus hidden beneath people’s jackets! 🥰
After the show, the whole fair was awash in pink! The town's council even presented me with a special "Pink Tutu Champion" trophy – I've never felt so much love for my fluffy, sparkly attire!
Afternoon Tea in the Park 🫖
Afterwards, I had a lovely cup of tea in the park with some of the lovely locals. I love chatting to people about all things fashion, dance, and of course, pink tutus! It turns out that Maidstone has its own amazing dance academy with a student performing in "The Nutcracker"! I just had to visit it, it was divine, and I am still inspired. They all looked fabulous, they wore the most magnificent black tutus and I could have watched them practice all day long.
Horse Power to Home 🐎
After such a grand day, a romantic evening horse-drawn carriage ride home seemed a perfectly delightful ending to this fantastic Maidstone trip. Imagine: me, my glamorous gown, my sparkle-filled headdress, a carriage with beautiful ribbons in my favourite colour, and an elegant, grey, trotting horse. A dream!
I am so glad I took the trip, the people are just darling, the town itself is so pretty, and the overall energy and support was overwhelming. I felt so embraced and encouraged, even as the little boy dressed as Spiderman asked “Are you a Princess?” A few laughs later and after I helped him with his web shooting practice, everyone was happy. That is just a small example of the day’s magic, truly a pink-tastic time for me. I can't wait to go back to Maidstone someday soon, it was just too much fun!
The Power of Pink 👑
One thing I learnt this trip is that my vision, "Make the World Pink Tutu Ready" is spreading! People really are loving this bold and joyous celebration of all things girly. My biggest dream, you see, is to see the world twirling in a pink tutu! What a magnificent spectacle that would be, wouldn't it? 💖
