Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting, glitter-bombing drag queen! I'm so excited to be bringing the sparkle to Walsall this week! ✨
This week’s adventures started with a little train journey - yes, my lovely readers, yours truly, Pink Tutu Sparkles, opted for the romantic (and surprisingly comfy) option of taking the train to Walsall! Now, I’m no stranger to travel, but there's something about those rolling fields, the clatter of the tracks, and the chance encounter with fellow passengers that always feels exciting. Especially when I’m travelling in full drag, with a pink tulle backpack brimming with glitter, sequins, and maybe a spare tutu or two (you never know!).
But let’s not forget, darlings, the ultimate goal is to spread the pink tutu love! Walsall is a charming town, and my mission is to make it a whole lot more…sparkly! This town has a great reputation for its artistic spirit and the people I’ve met so far have been just lovely. And of course, I’ve got the perfect solution to get everyone involved: A PINK TUTU COMPETITION!
Yep, you read that right! My first night in Walsall was a total dream! I decided to kick off my trip with a little “tutu pop-up” – a mini-performance and a impromptu tutu try-on session! It took place in the heart of the town square and I must say, the reaction was a bit more than just "fantabulous". I saw genuine smiles, squeals of delight and even a few tentative steps in a tutu! One gentleman even surprised me by attempting a graceful plié. It was pure magic! And as usual, the energy was electric. I felt like a pink sparkle explosion right in the centre of Walsall.
Later on, I was the guest star of honour at a fabulous "vintage chic" dinner party. And, wouldn’t you know it, even the delicious food had a touch of sparkle. The whole affair felt like stepping into a glamorous scene straight out of a vintage magazine - champagne flowing, feather boas twirling, and endless conversations about the latest fashion trends (did someone say pink tutus?).
I even got the opportunity to visit a local school and tell the children about my adventures. They loved hearing all about the pink tutus and my time as a science student – you’d be surprised how many little girls and boys want to know about science experiments! Now, who says drag and science don't mix? Maybe those little tykes will be rocking a tutu at their next school play! It was a truly special day - those curious, sparkly little eyes made my day, just as I hope I brightened theirs.
Of course, I couldn't leave Walsall without taking in a performance of the local ballet troupe! It was beautiful, moving, and inspiring - everything I love about dance. I can’t even tell you how excited I was to finally catch up with their work. Let's just say I’m seriously considering taking up ballet class while I'm in town. I mean, how much fun would it be to rock a pink tutu on the stage in Walsall? It might take some practice, but I'm feeling ready to put my inner prima ballerina on display!
The local people have been so warm and welcoming – the energy here is contagious. You'd think the colour pink was invented here! I’ve got a feeling this week is going to be amazing, and I'll be making sure it's filled with pink tutu magic, sparkling moments, and laughter galore! You're probably thinking, what could be better than that?
