Taunton Twirls: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage! 💖✨🩰

Hello, darlings! It's your Tutu Queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another glamorous adventure, and this time I'm whisking you away to the delightful town of Taunton! This is post number 4500, can you believe it?! 🤯 My adventures just keep getting more dazzling!

You know me, my love for the pink tutu is endless! And it’s with that whimsical spirit that I'm heading out to Taunton for a whirl of wonder! Now, I've been on the road since last week, gallivanting my way across the countryside by train - it’s far more fabulous than a stuffy old bus, wouldn’t you agree? 😉 And you know, I did see the most divine little horse drawn carriage in a tiny village I passed through, so of course I had to hop in for a quick jaunt!

It seems a life in tutus makes everything so much more magical, don’t you think? And it’s not just about the tutu itself, darlings! The joy comes from the freedom, the sass, the unashamed sparkle and colour it allows us all to express. And really, who wouldn’t want to add a dash of magic to their everyday life? ✨

The lovely folk at the Taunton Arts Centre have invited me to grace their stage with my twinkling presence. This Saturday night I'll be performing for them and I am positively bursting with ideas! It’s always a pleasure to bring my flamboyant self to new audiences, sharing my love for the dazzling world of ballet, theatre, and everything fabulous in between!

Now, you know me and my shopping addiction… I can’t visit a new place without finding some stunning pink goodies. I popped into a delightful little shop called "The Pink Petal" where I discovered the most divine pink tutu. It was just screaming “Pink Tutu Sparkles” so I naturally had to snag it! 🛍️💖

And speaking of pink… remember that fabulously kitsch hotel I mentioned in my last blog, The Pink Flamingo in Somerset? I stayed there again on my way to Taunton. Talk about pink-tastic! 💖 It was as though a whole pack of flamingos exploded with colour all over the place. If you’re ever in the Somerset area, give it a try, I think you’ll love it!

Of course, a true Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure is never complete without a trip to the theatre or the ballet! Thankfully Taunton’s got a lovely theatre called The Brewhouse where I'll be watching a fabulous rendition of "Swan Lake" before my own show. I just love those swan costumes! 🩰

But it wasn’t just swans in tutus this time, oh no, I managed to slip into a proper tutu myself, you see I found a brilliant little ballet class tucked away on a street corner. They even had a whole room dedicated to just pink tutus. Now that’s what I call a pink dream! I think I did quite a good pirouette for someone who doesn't usually get to practice regularly, and I certainly looked divine! 😜✨

Of course, no blog post is complete without a quick delve into the science behind all this fabulousness, because we all know your Tutu Queen loves her science just as much as she loves a good prance. I’m always working on ways to get more people twirling! 🧬 And believe it or not, I've got a theory. You see, there’s an intrinsic human response to the colour pink – it activates our “happy chemicals” in the brain! (Yep, that's science talking). Now, imagine those “happy chemicals” alongside a swirling pink tutu! Magic, right? 💖

So, dear readers, whether you're rocking a pink tutu in the name of art, science, or just because it makes you happy, let's spread the joy! Get ready for some magical moments, and don’t forget to follow my adventures over on www.pink-tutu.com. It's going to be a truly sparkly, tutu-rific weekend! ✨💖

Until next time,

Pink Tutu Sparkles, xoxo
