Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu-wearing, sparkle-loving queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and I'm back with a new blog post all about my recent jaunt to the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough.

Now, if you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of travelling. I love nothing more than hopping on a train, settling into my plush velvet seat (always with a comfy cushion for maximum comfort!), and watching the countryside whizz by. Of course, being a horse enthusiast, I sometimes switch it up with a scenic carriage ride, but that's a story for another time!

This time, my journey was all about spreading the sparkle and bringing a touch of pink tutu magic to Scarborough! After a dazzling performance at the local market (don’t worry, you’ll see photos of my fabulous outfit later on!), I had the absolute pleasure of catching the renowned “Scarborough Ballet Festival”. It was such a treat for the eyes! The graceful dancers twirling in their billowing tutus reminded me why I love the art form so much. There’s something so elegant and powerful about a ballerina twirling in her tutu!

Of course, I couldn’t resist a little shopping trip afterwards! I stumbled across the most charming little vintage boutique, full of dreamy vintage pieces – you can bet I walked out with a few sparkling treasures! Now, a queen has to keep her wardrobe stocked with glamorous gowns, right?

And speaking of glamorous gowns… oh darling, my Scarborough performance was a complete success! I was absolutely shimmering in a pink tutu gown that was so breathtaking it practically stole the show! You can't have a drag show without a sprinkle of magic and glitz! I’ve got to say, the crowd loved it. It was fantastic to see all the faces in the audience grinning ear to ear, especially the little ones – I’m all about spreading that love of pink tutus!

Before we get to my look, let’s talk about my favourite parts of Scarborough. First up: the beach. Now, any true queen knows a perfect day is spent by the seaside with a big bowl of freshly scooped ice cream and the gentle breeze whipping through your hair! Scarborough’s beach is absolutely stunning, and even the wind felt glamorous with all those swirling tutus!

And oh, the seafood! This foodie queen could not resist the lure of the fresh fish! The fish and chips were so yummy I just had to get another portion! It’s all part of the fun of travelling, isn't it? Experiencing all those wonderful local cuisines!

Now, you wouldn’t believe how many of you fabulous ladies stopped me in the street, thrilled to see their favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles in person! We chatted, we giggled, and I even handed out a few of my very own, limited-edition Pink Tutu Sparkles business cards – with my own personalized pink tutu glitter, of course! (It’s only natural to have your own signature glitter – every queen should, darling!)

Of course, the absolute highlight of my trip was meeting this delightful young lady, Ruby, who, much like myself, absolutely adores pink tutus. She even told me about her dance recitals – isn’t she adorable? I gave her a lovely pink tutu ribbon to adorn her own lovely dancing costumes and encouraged her to dream big and spread the joy of tutus. The future of tutu lovers is looking bright, don’t you think?

My biggest joy is seeing the smiles on people's faces when they catch a glimpse of my fabulous, sparkling outfits. You never know how much a bit of glitter and a bright pink tutu can brighten someone’s day, you know? The more we embrace colour and shine, the happier the world becomes. It’s a philosophy I try to live by!

But enough about my escapades – I must tell you about my amazing Scarborough ensemble. As you all know, pink is my signature color, and this time I had to go all out. I opted for a breathtaking pink tulle gown with layers of ruffled fabric. To top it off, I paired it with a beautiful feather boa (a bit of drama never hurt anyone!) and adorned myself with my trademark sparkle accessories, each one perfectly pink and shimmering.

You know how I am! Always got to be on top of the latest fashion trends, whether I'm on a stage, on the street, or sipping tea in a cute café (which I actually did do while in Scarborough). My trusty vintage suitcase (stuffed full of tutus, of course!) followed me wherever I went. This was, as always, accompanied by a little travel essential: my sparkly pink sequined hand mirror – just in case I need to adjust my glitter at a moment’s notice.

As I mentioned, a real queen always carries a stash of her signature glitter, and it came in handy for Ruby! I had my own special “Pink Tutu Sparkle” makeup kit, which includes a specially made pink lipstick.

Overall, my trip to Scarborough was nothing short of magical. I enjoyed every moment, from my sparkling performance to the breathtaking scenery, and the friendly locals. Scarborough really lives up to its name as a jewel on the North Sea coast! I can't wait to return, but for now, it's back to the lab to do some fabric testing for my next glittering gown!
