Hello darlings! Itās Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and I am so excited to be writing this blog post from the lovely town of Llanelli! Itās truly a dream come true, because this whole adventure started with a pink tutu.
Yes, you read that right! Back in my Derbyshire days, whilst studying for my science degree (imagine, Pink Tutu Sparkles with a lab coat! Howās that for a contrast?), I found myself sucked into the world of ballet. I was in the university ballet club, you see, and for a charity event, I ended up trying on a pink tutu.
It was, dare I say, transformative! I feltā¦ different, bolder, lighter! It was like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. I saw a vision of myself in a whirl of pink, feathers, sequins and glitter, and Pink Tutu Sparkles was born!
From that moment, I was hooked. And, well, you all know how that went! I started incorporating a bit of pink here and there in my everyday style. Eventually, I went full on pink tutu with my fabulous drag persona! But thatās a story for another time!
So, back to Llanelli, my loves! I arrived here by train. Letās be honest, itās all about the journey, and travelling by train is the perfect opportunity to really soak in the views. My outfit was a perfect mix of pink and white ā a silk dress the shade of candy floss with a tulle overskirt that gently flowed with each passing carriage, all tied together with a white satin ribbon and a huge white floppy hat. (Because a lady's hat can never be too big, right?) It's the perfect way to make an entrance! It wasnāt exactly what you would call āsubtle,ā but hey, you know me!
I have to say, Llanelli is an absolute charmer. Itās got that classic British charm ā red brick buildings, quaint little shops, friendly faces. The town hall, I must tell you, was something else. We even had a tutu-wearing tour guide! Yes, you heard right, tutu-wearing! It seemed all of Llanelli was rocking a pink tutu, just for me. I can only hope itās the start of a fantastic new trend!
Now, before I give you the scoop on my latest adventures, I just want to talk a little bit about tutus. Because honestly, ladies (and gentlemen), you are never too old, never too tall, never too anything, to rock a pink tutu. They are pure magic! Let's all unleash our inner fairy princess and strut our stuff in this wondrous garment! Don't be shy, try one on! Trust me, it's a life-changer. I mean, did you see what happened to me?!
And letās talk about those incredible feelings that a tutu brings:
First of all, that floaty feeling! Itās like a magic spell ā you can twirl and dance like thereās no gravity holding you back. I swear, I could twirl forever in this gorgeous tulle.
Next, the empowerment! A pink tutu tells the world youāre bold, playful, and absolutely fabulous! And honestly, who doesnāt want a little extra confidence?
And of course, it's all about FUN! When you wear a pink tutu, life just seems to get brighter! Even the simplest tasks, like going for a walk in the park, become more glamorous! Itās like your own little slice of fantasy!
And speaking of fantasy, I've got a few wonderful ballet shows coming up on my schedule! I simply must experience the sheer joy and elegance of ballet at the Grand Theatre Llanelli! Iāll be reporting on the performances in detail, of course. Youāll have to wait until my next post to see all those amazing tutu looks ā Iām still in awe! And maybe even a video of my impromptu twirl session backstage? (Donāt judge, I couldnāt help it!)
Speaking of dance, Llanelli also has this fantastic street performance scene. Last night I was delighted by an impromptu flash mob ā a group of dancers doing their thing to some upbeat pop music. (And it wouldn't be complete without a touch of pink! ). It was an absolute blast! It was the kind of fun that makes my heart sing! It also reminds me to live each day with zest, to embrace every moment and to make every adventure an explosion of fun and pink tutus, because why not?
But my dear friends, Iām not just about dancing and tutus. Iām a traveler, an adventurer, and an artist! I've even picked up a little bit of Welsh already. And when I can't find a train, my favorite way to explore the world? Why, a trusty steed, of course! Thereās nothing like the freedom of the open road with the wind in your hair and your pink tutu trailing behind!
