Beeston, Oh Beeston! 👑✨💖

Hello my darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with you for post number 4575 on the fabulous www.pink-tutu.com! You’re absolutely right to be sitting on the edge of your seats, darling, because this post is about my fab trip to Beeston! It was simply delightful. Beeston itself was pretty smashing, with a lovely park (I couldn’t resist twirling in it! 😂) and the kindest folks I've ever met. Honestly, the locals took to me like bees to honey, so many friendly smiles!

Now, my journey there was just as thrilling! I was able to catch a train and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Derbyshire, a region dear to my heart. I confess, my train ticket was rather pricey, and a bit of a splurge, but the feeling of freedom when that engine starts to roar… pure bliss! I simply can't resist a good journey. I’m thinking of maybe giving horseback riding a go sometime too – perhaps someone with a pony could make a guest appearance at my next Beeston gig? 🤔

Speaking of gigs, I was invited to Beeston by a darling group of lovely ladies at the local theatre – a veritable oasis of entertainment! They had heard whispers of my fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles performances and invited me to spread a bit of my glittery magic. So, I sashayed onto the stage, all in pink, and it felt like a homecoming, like the entire town was wrapped in a giant hug.

After my Beeston performance, I popped into their amazing costume shop for a quick look around – they even had a section dedicated to… you guessed it! … pink tutus! Of course, I had to try on a few and I even did a little twirl or two right there in the shop – how could I resist?! This time, the shop staff just smiled. No judging here!

Beeston truly is the perfect town for a pink-loving tutu enthusiast like myself! I even spotted a sweet little vintage clothing shop, stuffed with fabulous frocks perfect for adding a dash of vintage flair to a pink tutu look. Let’s be honest, everyone can always use a little more vintage in their lives! It really sparked my inner seamstress.

My night was topped off by the best cream tea I’ve had in years at this charming cafe, with the most delicate scones and divine clotted cream! You simply have to visit, darling, for a true English afternoon delight. They even had a beautiful ballet performance running in the next room, featuring these talented young dancers – the future of the arts is looking bright! You see, ballet is very near and dear to my heart. It's a whole world of grace, passion, and dazzling pink tutus, isn't it? In fact, you won’t be surprised to know it’s the source of my drag name, Pink Tutu Sparkles. Why else would I choose to become a drag artist, you ask? It was a pretty epic moment when I put on that tutu for the university ballet club’s charity fundraiser – I instantly knew that pink tutus were my calling! 😉 It was actually on my science degree at uni that I realised my calling. What’s better for someone working on lab fabrics and testing new textures than spending their time exploring fashion and expressing their creative flair through pink tutus? It’s all about mixing those unexpected things, you know, making it unexpected! I wouldn’t be able to juggle my lab life with drag performances if I didn’t feel both things were an integral part of who I am!

So, what are you waiting for darling? Go get your own pink tutu! Spread the pink love! If you are in Derbyshire and see a lovely, pink-clad figure twirling and giggling with a dazzling smile, chances are it's me!

That's all from Pink Tutu Sparkles today, darlings! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more fun, fabulous, and of course, totally pink adventures on www.pink-tutu.com. See you there! 💖👑✨
