Kendal Calling: Pink Tutu Sparkles Hits the Lakes!

Hello my darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, signing in live from the breathtakingly beautiful Lake District, where I'm having a right old time at Kendal Calling! This is post number 4614 on the fabulous www.pink-tutu.com, and I'm overflowing with stories of tutus, travel, and tons of sparkles. Get ready for a whirlwind journey, because it's been an absolutely bonkers week!

Now, I know you lot are all just itching to hear about my travel experience, and let me tell you, this one was right out of a dream! It wouldn’t be Pink Tutu Sparkles without a little bit of magic, and what could be more enchanting than hopping onto a quaint little train with my trusty pink tutu bag? The countryside flew by in a blur of greens and browns, each station bringing a new wave of excitement. The journey itself was almost as magical as the destination. You’ve got to love those old carriages with their creaky charm.

Oh, and the station? Now that's something special. Can you imagine, a symphony of clinking luggage and cheery greetings echoing through the old station. It really gave me that classic movie vibe, like one of those lovely oldies with those old-time train conductors!

Then came the pièce de résistance - the horse-drawn carriage. This isn’t just any carriage, folks! I'm talking about a luxurious old horse-drawn beauty, pulling up to my quaint B&B right in the heart of the Lake District. Did I mention the beautiful stables where we housed the horses? Just pure charm, I tell you!

But I digress! We're here to talk about Kendal Calling, darling! The air is alive with music, laughter, and a sense of pure, unadulterated joy. There's something absolutely delightful about stepping into a festival, that intoxicating mix of crowds, colours, and the feeling that anything could happen!

Now, this wouldn’t be Pink Tutu Sparkles without a touch of sparkle on the stage. The audience, oh they were fabulous! And guess what? After the show, a lovely young lass came up to me, blushing and nervous, and whispered "You made my whole weekend". Now, there’s something heartwarming about a comment like that! I always say, spreading the joy is the biggest gift a drag queen can give, and for me, it's what it's all about!

Before the performance, we spent the morning wandering around the stalls, picking up quirky little souvenirs, and oh, did I find a beautiful little pink beret at one stall! I tell you, a girl can never have too many hats!

Speaking of things that brighten my day, I've got to tell you about the festival fashion! Every corner you turn, there's a kaleidoscope of colour and creativity. Honestly, it’s a visual feast! I couldn’t resist joining in on the fun with a new sparkly feather boa - it practically screams 'Festival Chic', don't you think?

But honestly, the real star of the show is, you guessed it, my trusty pink tutu! It turns heads and brings smiles wherever I go! Let's be honest, there's nothing like the power of a vibrant pink tutu to uplift spirits, and this festival was a real opportunity for me to spread that love. It’s not just a garment, it's a symbol, a declaration: 'Be brave, be bold, be fabulous'.

Kendal Calling is a melting pot of everything I love – vibrant music, captivating performances, beautiful scenery, and people who know how to have fun! This weekend was a whirlwind of excitement, laughs, and tutus, and that's all I need for a perfect time.

As always, thank you for joining me on this delightful adventure! I’ll be back next week with a whole new story to tell. Until then, stay sparkly and always remember to embrace the joy, darling. Now, where’s that pink tutu bag...?

Much love, Pink Tutu Sparkles www.pink-tutu.com
