Today I'm bubbling over with excitement because I've just had the most magical time in Leicester! 💅✨ This charming city has been shimmering with all the delightful pink vibes, it's simply bursting with the best of the best.
But let's back up a bit, shall we? How did your Queen end up in the heart of England, you ask? Well, it all started with a whisper of a dream... a whisper that took the form of a gig! I got a fabulous invitation to perform at a fundraising fair in Leicester, a real plum of a gig, let me tell you!
You know me, always up for an adventure, and what better way to travel than by train? I absolutely love hopping on a train, it's the ultimate opportunity for a pink makeover. The train was a veritable fashion show, my dear! You could spot my sparkly pink tutu from a mile away, attracting compliments from all directions. 😉
Speaking of trains, have you seen the new pink London Underground train? I'm going to have to wear my biggest, most glorious pink tutu for a photo op! You betcha!
And just you wait till you see the outfits I've put together for my Leicester show! You won't believe your eyes! I've chosen my most dazzling pink tutu with extra sparkle (I just couldn't resist!), paired with a shimmering pink feather boa, and I'm even topping it off with a custom-made pink feather hat, so I can practically take flight on stage! You’ll have to see the full show in person, honey, my Instagram and Facebook aren’t doing it justice!
Speaking of seeing things... what's a visit to Leicester without a little theatre hopping, eh? I caught the absolutely breathtaking ballet performance of "Swan Lake" at the gorgeous Curve theatre. My inner tutu-loving ballerina nearly flew out of her seat! It was truly divine. 🩰✨ There’s so much talent and beauty in the world.
Afterwards, I grabbed a quick bite and popped over to the New Walk Museum and Art Gallery to indulge in some serious cultural stimulation. I was particularly impressed with their fascinating exhibit on Roman pottery, you wouldn't believe the incredible things those ancient artists created. It got me thinking... a pink tutu would look fantastic alongside some Roman pottery, wouldn’t it?!
You see, the best part about traveling is discovering new places and inspiring new ideas. Everywhere I go, I try to add a little bit of pink tutu sparkle to the world. It’s my mission to inspire everyone to unleash their inner tutu-loving queen! That's why, when I spotted the most adorable pink tutu boutique near the De Montfort University campus, I couldn't resist popping in. It was just screaming my name!
Naturally, I picked up a few sparkly pink additions for my personal tutu collection (don’t judge!). Now, all of you out there who live in or visit Leicester, keep your eyes peeled. My tutus are going to be in all the best spots! 🤫
My adventures didn't stop there. I also spent an afternoon enjoying a stroll around Leicester's historic city centre, soaking up the unique atmosphere and beautiful architecture. From the grandeur of Leicester Cathedral to the lively bustle of the Leicester Market, this city really knows how to put on a show. I'm thinking my next Leicester trip needs to be longer. 😉 There's just so much to see and do! The pink vibes were practically radiating from every street corner, it's practically an honorary tutu paradise!
But alas, the weekend had to come to an end, and it was time for me to make my way back home to Derbyshire. A quick horse ride (did I mention I love riding? My little stallion Pinky really shines with me in pink!) and a few farewell kisses to Leicester, and I was off!
I know, I know, you're all dying to know: How did my performance go? Let’s just say the audience loved me, darling! The entire crowd was completely entranced by my shimmering pink tutu and my electrifying performance, it was absolute magic! You see, I'm not just about the tutu; it's about bringing joy and excitement to every single performance. Every moment I'm on stage is a chance to make the world a little brighter, a little pinker!
Now I’m back at home, snuggled up in my favourite pink robe and planning my next adventure. You see, as a scientist and a performer, my life is a constant blend of lab coats and sequins. I just want to share my love of pink tutus, sparkly fashion, and the wonders of the world.
