Now, let's talk about my journey to Rochdale. I always love a train journey – the rhythmic clackety-clack, the view whipping past, the gentle sway… it's pure bliss. This time, I had the most fabulous opportunity to travel by horse-drawn carriage, all the way from Derby to Rochdale, for a charity event. Can you believe it? Me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, gracing a horse-drawn carriage – just like the fairytale princesses I grew up loving! Honestly, I had to remind myself to sit still and be regal, as I was bubbling over with excitement!
Reaching Rochdale, I was greeted with a friendly face (and a pink floral arrangement!) who whisked me off to my luxurious dressing room. You see, darling, when it comes to touring, Pink Tutu Sparkles demands the royal treatment – plush cushions, twinkling lights, and, of course, a mirrored vanity complete with a stash of sparkly hairspray and pink lipgloss! You know my motto: “A little sparkle never hurt nobody.” 😉
My performance in Rochdale was at a lovely old theater. You know I'm always drawn to places steeped in history, and the sheer energy in this space had me completely captivated. It wasn't just a theatre, it was a symphony of creativity! They even had an entire wing dedicated to costume design! Honestly, I wanted to spend hours exploring those rooms. But first, there was a show to put on!
The performance itself was a riot of colours and laughter! We danced, we sang, we sprinkled the audience with a whole lotta pink sparkle – basically, we showed everyone that Rochdale is a town that knows how to celebrate!
This whole trip was an absolute dream come true, and as usual, I managed to inspire some local souls to rock a little bit of pink. My mission to get everyone rocking a tutu marches on! We had so many fabulous ladies come up to me after the show, so proud of themselves wearing pink tutus – the joy in their faces made it all so worthwhile. Seeing someone's confidence bloom after slipping on a tutu is truly magical! It's a symbol of self-expression, a little sprinkle of happiness that can brighten even the gloomiest day.
Of course, I couldn’t leave Rochdale without a bit of retail therapy! I found the cutest pink boutique brimming with all sorts of treasures, just my cup of tea! You see, darlings, shopping is as important as any show! After all, every fabulous outfit starts with a little trip to the shops!
Speaking of fabulous outfits, let's talk about this incredible number I wore in Rochdale! I know you guys are loving this. A pink tutu, naturally – I don’t even need to mention it! This one had cascading tiers of ruffles, all in shades of pink from flamingo to blush. On top, I had a sparkling sequin top – and my trademark pink glitter boots. Let me tell you, this outfit had people flocking from all corners of Rochdale. The whispers, the cheers, the laughter – the energy was electrifying!
I’m already making plans for my next visit. The warmth, the generosity of spirit, the sheer fun-loving atmosphere – I’m hooked on this town! Rochdale is truly one of a kind, darling.
