This week, your girl is taking on the vibrant streets of Merthyr Tudful! This Welsh town has been calling to me like the first strains of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake - irresistible, darling!
As you know, I simply adore travelling by train. The clattering wheels, the countryside rushing by… I found myself daydreaming in my gorgeous pink tutu, imagining a magnificent performance, in a magical town tucked away in Wales, under a moonlit sky. And before I knew it, I was pulling into the station at Merthyr Tudful.
First stop, a proper British cuppa and a scrumptious scone at a charming little café. The owner, a lovely lady called Brenda, looked a bit stunned when I came in, but that's what I love about spreading my message - wearing a pink tutu sparks conversations, brings smiles to faces, and lets people know that it’s ok to be different!
Later, I had the most incredible tour of Cyfarthfa Castle. Imagine, my darlings, a majestic building perched on a hilltop, surrounded by manicured gardens and sprawling landscapes, a truly inspiring setting! The architecture and the history - simply divine! I couldn't help but twirl a little bit, feeling inspired by the echoes of stories that reverberated through the rooms.
I always love exploring new places and seeing how my tutu looks against a different backdrop. This time, I paired my dazzling pink with a vibrant red bus stop, a quaint red-brick house, and a gorgeous view overlooking the Brecon Beacons, all of which I added to my Instagram, of course!
You see, darling, every single adventure is an opportunity to show the world that tutus are for everyone, in every corner of the globe!
One of my favorite things about Merthyr Tudful, besides its history, is the sense of community. The local shops are brimming with charm and warmth, the people are friendly, and everyone has a smile on their face. It really felt like stepping back in time, a charming break from the hustle and bustle of city life.
And what would a visit to Wales be without a little Welsh history, my dear? I found myself transported back centuries at the Cyfarthfa Ironworks, a testament to the nation's industrial heritage. Walking through the imposing structures, I imagined the sweat, the heat, the determination of those who worked there, their stories woven into the very fabric of the town.
You know me, darling, always ready to dive into the local culture. And that's how I ended up at a beautiful traditional pub in the heart of Merthyr Tudful. It was a sight to behold, complete with exposed wooden beams, crackling fire, and local beers. The owner even offered me a pint, which was, dare I say it, absolutely divine. The locals were lovely, they loved my tutu and I even got them dancing to a little “Grease” number with me. It's moments like these that truly fill my heart with joy.
Of course, I couldn’t let Merthyr Tudful go by without a bit of performance! I managed to land a spot at the town fair, and what a wonderful crowd it was! Kids laughing, couples giggling, and families bonding - I made everyone giggle and shake their booty with a routine to Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” infused with ballet, sass, and my signature pink tutu twist!
Later that night, after a quick "tuck" with some glamorous locals at the pub, I got to witness the breathtaking scenery of Merthyr Tudful under the starlight, my pink tutu swirling as if it was a starlit sky of its own. I couldn't help but dream about what next week’s adventure would bring. It was a beautiful ending to an already perfect trip.
