Oh darlings! Today's adventure is taking me all the way to Basildon, a little slice of Essex I've never been to before. And guess what? I'm bringing my fabulous pink tutu with me! It's my trusty "Bubblegum Delight" tutu, and she's always ready to make an entrance, whether I'm waltzing across a stage, sipping cocktails at a glamorous soiree, or, in this case, hopping on the train for a day of sparkly adventures!
My train journey, you ask? It was positively divine! I even snagged a seat near the window - perfect for watching the English countryside unfold in all its rolling, green glory. Of course, I made sure my outfit was picture perfect - my favourite floral print dress, a pink beret, and a dash of blusher on my cheeks, and naturally, the "Bubblegum Delight" tutu was draped artfully around my chair (a bit like a regal carriage). I did catch a few stares, which only served to add a little extra sparkle to my journey. 😉
Once in Basildon, I'm all set for a day filled with enchantment! I've heard whispers of a magical, pink-themed market happening in the town centre, and I can't wait to get my hands on some shimmering delights! Maybe some sequined earrings to match my "Bubblegum Delight", or perhaps a feather boa to accentuate my dramatic flair. Oh, the possibilities!
Later this evening, I'll be taking my dazzling talent to the Basildon Civic Centre, where I'll be captivating the locals with a showstopping performance of my "Pink Flamingo" routine! Imagine - graceful ballet moves, shimmering pink feathers, and all the dazzling glitz and glamour you could ever ask for! (I may have borrowed a feather boa or two from the market...). It's going to be simply fabulous!
Honestly, I love days like these - the adventure, the pinkness, the endless possibilities! I truly believe that every day should be a day for sparkles and joy. I don't need much to make me happy; a tutu, a good pair of sparkly heels, a few friendly faces, and a platform to spread the gospel of pink. And who knows, maybe today I'll inspire someone to take the leap and wear their own pink tutu?
I mean, what could be better than spreading a little bit of magic, a touch of glamour, and a whole lot of pink to brighten someone's day? It's truly the essence of Pink Tutu Sparkles! ✨

Hi! My name is Alex. You can call me Alex, or Pink Tutu Sparkles if you prefer. I started out wearing a pink tutu for charity (while studying a science degree!) but soon I became smitten, and here we are! I have a whole family of colourful tutus, but this one, my "Bubblegum Delight" is special, and this post's about Basildon was written when I was 23. Now I'm 25 and still as crazy about my tutu!
Do you ever have those "day" lives that feel a little beige and a little dull? It took a pink tutu to open my eyes to how bright and colourful life can be, even a life where you wear a lab coat and test the resilience of synthetic fabrics. It's no surprise I get bored sometimes with the science, so the excitement of performing in the evenings keeps me going! And even though, as Pink Tutu Sparkles I don't go full-on on social media with who I am outside my stage persona, it feels quite amazing to be able to blog anonymously while building my life and identity as a performer. Maybe one day I'll feel confident enough to share my full self with the world! For now I'll keep spreading the pink sparkly love...
Maybe my life isn't the normal story - the life of someone who grew up in a big family and went straight to college... I do dream of the life, maybe someday I'll be getting into acting or be a full time performer, until then, it's just me and my Pink Tutu. I'm learning new dances every day, making amazing friends on the performance circuit, and enjoying the adventures of getting to a different place every night. I do have my own life outside of this character too - you see the photos but not what goes on behind the scenes. I hope my Pink Tutu will help you make that next bold decision, like I did.
