Hello, darlings! It's your girl, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with you for blog post number 5033 on www.pink-tutu.com, and this time I'm shimmering straight from the lovely city of Lancaster!
I must admit, you lot know I have a special fondness for trains. So, my journey was all about those gorgeous old carriages, a lovely morning tea and scone, and a few admiring glances from my fellow travellers, who, let's face it, aren't quite used to the sight of a fully decked-out Pink Tutu Sparkles in their midst. It takes a certain kind of person to appreciate the artistry of a hot pink feather boa. (But I wouldn't have it any other way!)
Lancaster was calling! A lovely venue in the heart of town, bustling with excitement and just begging for a splash of pink tutu magic! I simply couldn't resist, especially when I heard they had an enchanting ballroom just perfect for a Pink Tutu Sparkles performance.
And what a performance it was! From the moment the spotlight hit that gorgeous tulle and those feathers began to fly, I knew this night was going to be absolutely phenomenal. The Lancaster crowd just lapped it up – oh, the applause! They even had some gorgeous pink and sparkly dresses on themselves. Oh, the synchronicity! It's so inspiring when the universe aligns with your love for the fabulous!
Speaking of fabulous, I must share some new outfits that have taken my breath away. Now, I can't share every single one of my darling little creations just yet. But, just imagine – the colour of pink and red combined, tulle and a new sparkle design from my favourite shop in Sheffield, all with a flourish of shimmering feather boa magic! And let me tell you, the outfits I have planned for my performance tonight at Lancaster have those elements, all the pink glitz, in spades!
Lancaster's cobbled streets, historic architecture, and lovely, friendly people are an absolute delight! It reminded me so much of Derbyshire – there's something in that countryside air that gets right down to your bones, isn't there? Between shows, I did a little bit of exploring. Of course, every Pink Tutu Sparkles visit is a little bit about searching for the most delicious pink pastries in town – it's my life's work, really. Oh, and let's not forget the shoe shop hunt! They had an absolute treat tucked away in a tiny side street – the most exquisite, glittering flats – it was all I could do to hold back from taking the whole store back with me.
Oh, and you'll be thrilled to know, darling, that while exploring I even managed to catch a stunning ballet performance at the local theatre. Talk about feeling inspired! The ballerinas twirled with such grace and elegance - it had me itching to dust off my pointe shoes! There's something absolutely magical about watching the ballet. It reminds me why I love dancing so much, especially in a tutu! I wish I could have a ballerina onstage for my own performance, we could share a tutu. Perhaps next time.
You'll never guess where I went next, you gorgeous little swans. Why, I'm so pleased you asked, I visited the lovely Ashton Memorial! Now, darling, if you've been in Lancaster, then you'll know it stands proud above the city, a beacon of romance and a little bit of history, and a must-see for any visiting queen in a pink tutu! It felt like I had stepped into a fairytale, and let me tell you, that was the perfect setting for some absolutely glorious, spontaneous, Instagrammable photo-ops! (My favourite – the "Tutu-in-the-Clouds" shot - totally worthy of a few thousand likes, I'm telling you.)
**Back in my gorgeous pink tutu, with a suitcase packed full of sequins and feathers and a heart full of excitement for the next show! I can't wait to keep travelling, spreading that pink tutu love to the world, one sparkly, twirling performance at a time!
