Blyth! Post #5088: A Pink Tutu Adventure on the Rails

Hello, my darling darlings! It's your Pink Tutu Sparkles, reporting live from the lovely little town of Blyth!

This is Post #5088, which means that I’m really starting to rack up the travel miles. My little Pink Tutu empire is slowly but surely spreading across the land, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Now, how did I get here, you ask? Why, by train, of course! Nothing beats a good old-fashioned train journey for soaking up the scenery and getting the creative juices flowing. It’s the perfect opportunity for a quick spot of tutu-twirling in the carriage – I just hope the conductor doesn't mind a bit of extra sparkle!

And oh, speaking of sparkle, this town has got it in spades! Blyth has the most charming little shops full of vintage treasures and vintage fabrics, which is just the ticket for a fashionista like me. You wouldn't believe the amount of glorious pink tulle I managed to snag! You'll be seeing the results of my haul in future posts, that's for sure.

Blyth is actually quite close to Newcastle, so after my fabric shopping spree, I hopped on the bus for a quick trip to the Theatre Royal. I absolutely adored the ballet they were putting on! Such beautiful dancers and stunning costumes – the choreographer must have been a pink tutu enthusiast too! They even had a tiny, shimmering pink tutu on a miniature ballerina that totally stole the show. It was absolutely delightful. I just can’t get enough of those delicate, floating fabrics and the graceful elegance of ballet. It’s something I’ll never tire of seeing and never stop aspiring to embody myself.

After the ballet, it was back to Blyth for a spot of dinner, and my word, the fish and chips here are phenomenal! It must be something to do with the sea air - it just gives the batter such a crispy, delicious flavour! I treated myself to a generous portion and even managed to squeeze in a bite of that gloriously sweet apple crumble they served up afterwards. It was truly a feast fit for a Queen (or should I say TutuQueen?)!

The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the enchanting Blyth Ballet School. This hidden gem of a place offers classes for everyone, from tots to adults, which is simply fantastic! It was impossible for me not to try out one of the beginner classes. And I must say, it was far harder than it looked! The teachers are incredibly kind, though, and I had a right laugh as I struggled to find my footing - those tutus do tend to make you feel quite different on the ground, don't you know!

So, my dears, Blyth has definitely been added to my "Must Visit" list! It's a charming little town full of kind people, breathtaking scenery and a real sense of community – what more could you ask for? It’s definitely worth making a trip to if you’re looking for a relaxing break from the city hustle and bustle!

Now, as my dear granny would say, it’s high time I tucked myself in for the night. The train will be whisking me back to my lab tomorrow, where I’ll be testing some glorious new fabrics (yes, I do actually have a life beyond sparkly tutus!).

But I will, of course, return to you all on the pink-tutu.com website tomorrow. Make sure you check back, and, who knows? Maybe we’ll be exploring another exciting destination together soon! Until then, keep those tutus twirling and never let anyone tell you that pink is too much!

XOXO, Your Pink Tutu Sparkles,

Alex
