Hello my lovely little Tutu Twirls! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to share another sparkling adventure with you all! This time, it's all about my fabulous trip to Abingdon! Now, let me tell you, this little town is a real gem - not just for its history, but also for its welcoming atmosphere and its... well, its amazingly delicious bakeries! Seriously, I could have lived on pastries for a week!
Now, before we dive into the fabulous fashion and all the tutu-licious fun I had in Abingdon, let's talk about the journey itself! You see, my darlings, a true queen never shies away from a little adventure, especially when it comes to travel. I may have a pink tutu-shaped heart but deep down I am a lover of both trains and horses, and believe me, the combination of both was totally on point! I took the most enchanting train ride through rolling green countryside, the windows filled with gorgeous views that I could practically have painted a masterpiece from (if I wasn't, you know, focusing on the glam of it all!).
And the train itself? Absolute class! Picture this, honey: plush seats, sparkling glasses of fizz, and my trusty little trolley case overflowing with pink glittery costumes and enough hairspray to style a small army! I’d rather arrive fashionably late with style, than arrive on time in a simple dress.
Anyway, to make the journey even more special, the last part of my adventure involved a magical horse-drawn carriage ride to the heart of Abingdon! Now, I'm not just talking about your ordinary "taxi-horse" deal here, darlings. I’m talking a four-legged Cinderella-worthy chariot that would have made even Prince Charming swoon!
The sound of the horse's hooves clicking on the cobblestone, the crisp air filled with the scent of blooming meadows, and the breathtaking view of Abingdon bathed in golden sunlight... it was truly a fairytale come true! Okay, so let’s talk Abingdon itself. This place is absolutely overflowing with pink-tastic opportunities, darling! I simply couldn't wait to explore the charming streets, soak up the local vibes and discover what sartorial wonders it held for my beloved collection! You'd be surprised at how many pink shops I found, from vintage boutiques filled with sparkling dresses that practically called my name to delightful gift shops filled with frilly, feminine goodies – everything that made my pink-loving heart flutter with excitement.
Tutu-ing Around the Town
After settling in, I decided to take a pink promenade through the centre of Abingdon, admiring the lovely historical buildings (even those in a non-pink hue!). You can always add a little pink with some matching lipstick, and let's be honest, my dear readers, a dash of sparkle never hurt anyone! My tutu twirled in perfect harmony with the wind, every little ruffle and feather dancing along. The town was captivated! (Well, at least by my outfit!).
You know what they say about pink? It’s the colour of happy! It attracts smiles! I always try to share the pink love wherever I go, and you know what? Abingdon absolutely embraced it! It's no secret, darling, my ultimate goal is to bring a little sparkle to the world and, of course, get everyone to embrace the joy of pink!
I found myself chatting with a group of local artists - sweet and super-talented girls who were selling their amazing handmade jewelry. We shared a glass of bubbles, talked all things sparkle, and I even gave a quick impromptu lesson on how to achieve the perfect pink smokey eye. It's a true talent you know - to have eyes that sparkle and capture the hearts of every passerby, wouldn't you agree?
Oh, and speaking of capturing hearts, can we talk about the absolute dream of a theatre I discovered? The Abingdon Town Hall is, quite simply, an architectural masterpiece. I mean, talk about grandeur and elegance! And guess what? They've got this gorgeous balcony area with a stunning view that could have been straight out of a romantic comedy! (Okay, maybe it was just because I was looking particularly gorgeous myself.)
And here's a little secret I’m so excited about, darlings - this pink princess has been invited to perform on their stage soon! The lovely folks at Abingdon Town Hall were simply mesmerized by my performance in the local pub earlier (where else would a queen in pink perform?!), and asked if I’d grace them with my presence in a full-on show!
Let me tell you, the excitement is reaching fever pitch right now. My custom-made pink tutu outfit is being finalized as we speak - just picture layers and layers of delicate pink tulle, sparkling with an extra sprinkle of pink glittery magic. We’re talking total drama! It will make my entrance on stage even more spectacular than my horse-drawn carriage ride!

Pink Fashion Find of the Day:
Abingdon is seriously becoming a favourite of mine - not only for its history, its welcoming charm, its gorgeous scenery but, of course, for its abundance of stylish shops that know exactly what a girl like me wants. There are shops filled with all kinds of pretty frocks and fab accessories that any fashionable fairy godmother would absolutely adore! It would take an entire wardrobe full of pink to list it all!
Speaking of frocks, one of my latest acquisitions that I just had to bring home is this heavenly, full-skirted, pastel pink frock I found in the most gorgeous little vintage boutique called ‘Pinky’s Paradise’! (Could it get more perfectly named?) It’s delicate lace with layers and layers of chiffon – oh, and those tiny little silver sequins! I think you can imagine how this little dress stole my heart the moment I saw it! I simply had to bring it home!
Just thinking about how this pink number is going to look under the stage lights - perfect! A little touch of pastel pink with silver shimmer to accentuate my pink glitter shadow! I already have so many outfit ideas swirling in my head, so let's just say that I will totally be keeping you all up to date with my fabulous pink finds and my look for the Abingdon show. Stay tuned!
