Worcester, You're the Fairest of Them All! πŸ’– (Post #5214)

Oh, darling dears! What a glorious, fabulous, and simply sensational day it's been! The train ride down was absolutely divine. The sun was shining, the birds were singing (even if they didn't know the lyrics to "Dancing Queen" - they should try it sometime!), and I had the most lovely lady next to me, wearing the most wonderful floral print dress that would have made even Mary Poppins envious. She kept mistaking me for a young lady dressed in a special dress and complimented me on my 'hair', "darling you must spend ages on it!". You'd be surprised how quickly you can learn to 'play the part', my dears, for those who don't see the real magic behind it all! It's a good life being a pink tutu enthusiast, though some days, even I, a champion of all things frilly, want to chuck this entire fabulous outfit in the nearest recycling bin (and no, my darling, I do NOT condone throwing your tutus away! They're works of art!).

But anyway, darling, enough of my journey to this most enchanting town. The reason I am here? Well, of course! A fantastic gig in this most delightful county, Worcester! Did you know that the county's emblem is a unicorn, darling? What a glorious beast. Imagine the possibilities of tutu combinations! You know I'll be popping by the shop in town to grab a couple of sparkly horn pieces for my next performance, even if I have to spend all day wandering in between those beautiful old streets and historic buildings!

You might be asking "why, oh why, Pink Tutu Sparkles?" This, my dearest followers, is what brings us to the reason for this grand outing! I was asked to take part in the annual County Fair in a town just a hop, skip and a jump away from Worcester city! Imagine, dears, the pure excitement! Funfair rides, prize-winning pigs, all-you-can-eat candy floss...and your fabulous Auntie Pink Tutu Sparkle providing an extravagant, flamboyant, and, of course, totally family-friendly display of glitz and glamour, bringing some sparkle to the day. The thrill of a big crowd, the laughter of children and their bewildered parents... oh darling, it's simply divine!

This isn't just about the show, my dears, it's about the journey too. You wouldn't believe what a treasure trove of vintage clothing shops this little town holds! I even managed to snaffle a beautiful little lavender-coloured dress for next to nothing! The only problem? The shop assistant mistook me for a lady. Bless her. Perhaps I should have tried it on, she might have noticed my 'hair' before! My apologies to her - perhaps it's me that's playing up to my pink role a little too much.

After my show I decided to visit the county museum, and there, just around the corner, there it was: A majestic, Victorian-era town house that would have looked completely delightful adorned with a frilly pink tutu or two! Imagine the elegance of it! It looked almost theatrical, so it reminded me of the incredible costumes they use at the theatre back in my Derbyshire home town. They do some of the most creative costumes! Especially with the way they use the lighting. One minute it's red velvet, and the next minute it's this shimmering blue, simply wonderful. Oh darling, if you ever get the chance to visit, you must, and don't forget to come see a show!

The real reason I love visiting different parts of the UK? Oh darling, it's about the adventure. Each and every place offers something different, something extraordinary, something wonderful. It reminds me of a magnificent journey, like the one I take on the stage, where I can become whoever I wish to be! Who knows, one day maybe my journey will take me on a carriage pulled by real unicorns, dressed in tutus... now wouldn't that be something? I've just found a fantastic dressmaker down the road. Maybe I'll design some fabulous little unicorn-themed tutus... I need a pink tutu to match those unicorn horns!

The journey of the Pink Tutu Sparkles isn't always about performing, it's about learning, about being inspired, about reminding myself to look at the world through those sparkling, colourful lenses that see only the joy, the glamour, and the fun! Remember, my lovely dears, that tutu is only a tiny, sparkly part of who we are - what's truly important is what's underneath it. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise! Be your authentic self, because if you dare to wear pink tutus in public, you’re bound to discover some truly delightful things along the way! So what are you waiting for, darlings?

Find your own way to sparkle. ✨ And wear that tutu with pride, darling. ✨
