I'm practically buzzing with excitement, because I'm heading to the beautiful, historic city of Bath! 🛁 Think elegant architecture, honey-coloured stone, and delicious cream teas – and me, naturally, in a dazzling pink tutu, ready to dazzle the town.
Now, some of you might wonder, how does a glamorous drag queen like myself get around? Well, my dear dears, I am not one for mere bus journeys or those noisy aeroplane contraptions. Oh, no, I favour a more elegant, more refined method of travel. I’m all about the train! 🚂 The rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels, the gentle swaying, and the chance to people watch, are all the perfect companions for a pink tutu aficionado. Sometimes, I even indulge in a spot of vintage glam and travel by horse! Imagine that: a fluffy white steed carrying the most fashionable pink tutu queen this side of the Severn! 💖
Speaking of horses, it all started with the ballet club in university. You know how it is, studying for a science degree, analysing fabric structures… I’d rather be twirling! The university held a charity fundraising event, where I dared to put on a tutu, just for a little giggle, and that’s when I knew… pink was my colour! My life was about to sparkle! So I became Pink Tutu Sparkles, dazzling every stage, every fair, and every theatre, and living the fabulous life. You’ll find me performing everywhere, bringing joy and glitter to every audience!
Now, let's talk about Bath! My travels will lead me to the charming streets, to the grand Assembly Rooms, and, of course, to the magnificent Roman Baths themselves. (Honestly, who can resist a good bath, right?) I have an upcoming performance at a local community theatre, so naturally, I had to visit my favourite boutique, “Frills and Thrills," for the perfect outfit! Imagine a blush pink, layered tutu, a shimmering sequined top and feather boas that practically dance in the air! Oh darling, this is going to be a sight! 😍
Don't worry, darlings! I’ll be taking lots of photos, capturing the beauty of Bath through my pink-tinted glasses and, of course, posting all the action on www.pink-tutu.com. It’s a constant work in progress, because… you know, pink tutu queens gotta have the hottest blog! 💋 I’ve also been busy, crafting a little something special for this trip: a new pink tutu-inspired design. Think intricate pink sequins, a little touch of sparkly lace, and delicate feathers... all set to twirl, twirl, twirl! I just can't wait to share it with you!
Of course, my day job, a scientist, studying fabrics... a very appropriate career, I must say. While the world thinks I'm busy analysing the fibres of cotton, silk, and velvet, they have no idea what happens when the clock strikes five. I’m turning into a sparkling, twirling drag queen, living the fabulous life and promoting, well, you guessed it! Pink tutus! You see, every outfit can be a canvas, an opportunity for expression, and pink tutus are the most amazing canvas of all! 🤩
Speaking of fabulous, I’m about to get ready to head out. It’s almost time for my tea break (did I mention cream tea?!) with the lovely Lady Agnes at her elegant townhouse. She’s one of my biggest fans, loves pink, loves the tutu, and insists on tea in china cups! And who am I to refuse? 😉
