You know I love travelling! And this time, I decided to journey to the east coast for a weekend of fun, dancing, and… well, what else? 💖 A sprinkle of sparkle, of course!
Getting to Lowestoft felt like a mini-adventure in itself. I decided to ditch the car and embrace the romance of train travel - hello, scenic views and a chance to let my imagination soar! 🚂 (Though let’s be real, it was a much more convenient choice than lugging my sparkly wardrobe and all my stage make-up across the country.)
Speaking of my wardrobe, this trip was all about my favourite shade: PINK! 🌸 I opted for a stunning layered pink tulle tutu, adorned with glittering silver sequins. 💃 The shimmering layers danced as I walked, creating a whimsical aura that definitely caught some attention! (Just like it should. 😜 )
Of course, no visit to the coast is complete without a touch of seaside charm. 🌊 I took a lovely stroll along the promenade, relishing the salty air and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. The vibrant colours of the beach huts just made me want to whip out my camera and capture every detail! 📸 Lowestoft is a charming town and I felt so at home amidst its friendly faces.
Now, for the highlight of my trip… 🩰
Lowestoft boasts a beautiful theatre, the Marina Theatre, with a fantastic schedule of shows. And this time, it was a ballet performance of ‘The Nutcracker’ that drew me in like a moth to a sparkly light. 💖
I'd spent a good hour doing my hair and make-up (because when a girl’s got it, she flaunts it! 😉). The theatre was buzzing with excitement - the air was thick with the intoxicating scent of popcorn and anticipation. And then, the lights went down, and the magical ballet began. ✨
Watching those graceful dancers twirling and leaping, dressed in their exquisite costumes, filled me with an intense wave of happiness. There's something truly special about ballet - it's elegant, captivating, and brimming with emotional depth. I felt that sparkle within my soul come alive. 🌟
Afterwards, I headed back to my room for a spot of relaxation. Nothing beats putting on some relaxing music, popping on my favourite fluffy pink dressing gown and sipping a cuppa after a long, glamorous day! 😌 But let’s be real, I couldn’t let the evening go by without a bit of extra sparkle! So, I pulled out my favourite, shimmering pink sequined clutch and grabbed my phone for a night out on the town!
The town was alive with people, laughing and enjoying themselves. And for the first time in my life… I actually spotted a few people in pink tutus! 💃 It felt amazing! It seemed like the people of Lowestoft were embracing their own unique flair - a true testament to the town’s welcoming and open-minded atmosphere.
My trip to Lowestoft was a joyous escape, a beautiful blend of artistic appreciation, whimsical seaside charm and, of course, my favourite colour - PINK! 💖 I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again - maybe even bring my trusty horse next time for a truly fabulous ride along the promenade!
