Hello my gorgeous darlings! 💖 It’s TutuQueen here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, and today's blog post marks a milestone – a whopping 5,300 posts on www.pink-tutu.com! To celebrate, I'm whisking you away to the beautiful Yorkshire coastline, where I was shimmering and sparkling in Scarborough, the jewel of the north!
The train journey was absolutely delightful! My trusty, fluffy pink travel bag held all my essentials – glitter, makeup, and a bejewelled tiara, of course! And while the journey rolled on, I lost myself in a vintage ballet book, picturing myself dancing alongside the most iconic ballerinas in history, all decked out in pink tutus, naturally.
Arriving in Scarborough, the seaside air filled my lungs with pure magic! It was like stepping into a vintage postcard, with colourful beach huts, candy floss stalls, and the crashing waves creating a symphony for my soul!
The first stop had to be a little boutique overflowing with beautiful things! I practically swooned at the sheer loveliness – floral prints, sparkly bags, and oh my, the shoes! I felt like a giddy little fairy as I picked up the most enchanting pastel pink bow-adorned handbag. It was simply perfect for carrying my essential sparkly lipstick and compact mirror!
Now, every seaside trip requires a proper dose of fish and chips, so off I went to a classic chippy. It was just a delicious reminder that simple pleasures are truly the best! I devoured the fish, devoured the chips, devoured it all! My new handbag was a good thing as I found I was carrying extra delicious snacks home!
And speaking of snacks, my next stop was the magnificent Scarborough Spa. Now, if you've never experienced the splendour of this Grade II* listed Victorian theatre and concert hall, you absolutely MUST! It's a perfect blend of grand history and delightful kitsch, and I can’t tell you how much I loved the breathtaking, glittering chandeliers!
The whole day felt like a dreamy whirl of sparkle, pink tulle, and laughter! The locals were so warm and welcoming, their smiles as bright as the summer sunshine!
Then came the moment we'd all been waiting for: my fabulous show at the beautiful Scarborough Spa! I was bursting with excitement! I transformed my dressing room into a whirlwind of glittery joy. My chosen outfit for the night? A magnificent blush-pink tutu that shimmered with every twirl! I could hear the applause even before I took the stage, the air thrumming with anticipation!
I began with a heartfelt rendition of "Rainbow Connection," followed by a sassy dance medley to a playlist of classic pop tunes. And, of course, I finished with a signature Pink Tutu Sparkles medley – it included my new favourite song, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", because sometimes, the simplest things are the most magical!
The applause that night was electric! My heart was full, brimming with gratitude for this amazing journey and the support I receive every single day. It was a true reminder of why I do what I do, why I spread sparkle and tutus, why I make a pink-hued mark on this world!
Leaving Scarborough the next morning, my heart was lighter than ever. I sat in the window seat on the train, admiring the breathtaking scenery. The sun cast a golden glow on the sea, turning the waves into liquid diamonds! And all I could think was, “This is life! This is living!”
