Chichester Calling! #TutuQueen on the Rails, #5380

Oh, darlings, I’m off to the south coast! Buckle up your sparkly boots and get ready to hear all about my grand adventure, because your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles is on a mission!

This weekend, I’m shimmering my way to Chichester for a fab-tastic performance, but before I go, I just gotta tell you all about this whole magical journey. It’s all about getting your twirls on and remembering, my lovelies, that the key to life is a touch of pink!

I've always adored the English countryside, it’s so different from my Derbyshire roots. The way the rolling hills blend into the coast, it's simply enchanting! And the seagulls, don't get me started on the seagulls - a real symphony of chirps, shrieks, and dives!

Now, normally I’d whiz down on the train in my shimmering pink dress and be perfectly content with the world whizzing past, but today was extra special. Remember, I always aim for fabulousness, even when just getting about! Well, my lovely Nana kindly decided to surprise me and we journeyed down by carriage and pair, drawn by two glorious Clydesdale horses. My Nana’s just got this knack for making things sparkle, she even bought a pink, floral saddle cloth with matching fringe – it looked fabulous with my tutu and made me feel like a princess on her way to a magical ball!

And you know what? It’s made me reflect on this whole tutu thing. This past weekend, my friend told me, “Alex, why are you so obsessed with tutus?" It’s a great question, darling.

There’s something truly empowering about slipping on a pink tutu, it instantly makes you feel whimsical, playful, and completely free to just be your most sparkly self. Remember when I told you that I stumbled onto the stage because of a charity event and some old, hand-me-down tutus? It was just supposed to be a funny thing, a science student in a tutu for the giggle factor, right?

But I saw the way the children in the audience looked at me, their faces glowing with pure delight as I danced across the stage in that brightly coloured puff of fabric, the light catching the sequins and sending a million stars across the room, and I realised this is what I wanted to do – bring happiness to every single person who watches me twirl! I found out that tutus have such a wide range of styles, from the graceful and elegant to the modern and fun – the pink one just really resonated with me.

So there you have it – tutus are more than just frills, darlings, they’re a symbol of joy, expression, and a touch of magical whimsy in our often-dull world. It’s something we can all embrace, regardless of size, shape, or age. Just like you know, I do every day – because life is for living, dancing, and being unapologetically fabulous!

Right, darling, now let's get back to Chichester, as it’s time to take centre stage at The Theatre Chichester. It’s such a historical place with stunning architecture and beautiful costumes, the perfect setting for a spectacular evening, right? We're going for that glitzy 1950s look with all the rhinestones and big, glamorous hair - get ready for some dazzling performances, it's going to be magnificent! I’m performing three times tonight, the whole evening will be one long, beautiful crescendo, so make sure you’re there!

My set list includes classics like "Dancing Queen" and "I Will Survive." There’s nothing I love more than watching those faces in the audience just go "Ooooohhh" when they hear my entrance music, and getting everyone to sing along is simply delightful. After all, I firmly believe that we all have a bit of a drag queen inside us, just waiting to be unleashed. Don’t let that tutu gather dust, my darlings, wear it with pride, twirl, sparkle, and show the world your inner glitter bomb!

Later on, I'm hoping to have time to see one of the ballets being showcased in Chichester. They’re going to perform “Swan Lake”, a beautiful timeless ballet full of grace and poise. Now, I might not have quite got the ballerina finesse, darling, but you just gotta appreciate the art, the passion, and that wonderful tutus. There’s a whole world of beautiful tutus to explore in ballet. From the classic white of Swan Lake to the vibrant colours of "Giselle" - the beauty never ends!

Chichester itself is bursting with charm. We went for a stroll along the harbour today, and I simply cannot resist snapping a picture in every quaint cafe and flower shop I see! I've even got my eye on some incredible millinery pieces, all in beautiful, vibrant shades of pink - a touch of elegance for the perfect performance.

My darlings, remember, life is a runway, so strut with confidence! Don’t be afraid to break out those feather boas, throw on that glamorous sequin gown, and own your inner sparkle! Even if it's just a touch of pink tutu magic in your day.

Next week, I’m heading to Brighton, where there’s an amazing street performance festival - perfect for a pink tutu parade! I can't wait! Until then, darlings, remember to keep your heads high, hearts full of love, and most importantly, don't forget to keep twirling! I'm signing off now to get ready for a dazzling night in Chichester.

Until next time, stay fabulous!
