Oh darlings, I'm so excited to be writing this blog from the heart of County Durham! Consett, you're a real gem, with so much character and charm. And did I mention it was raining? Just perfect for a girl in her pink tutu. 💖

This trip's been all about bringing a bit of "Pink Tutu Sparkles" magic to the North East. You see, my darlings, I've been touring. Just me, my pink tutus, and my trusty suitcase of glitter. 💅 The best part? I'm all about travelling in style. My motto? "No trains, no gain". Trains, of course. Anything to help me avoid the madness of the motorways!

This week started off a little differently, though. Remember those amazing folk festivals that I was telling you about in my last blog post? Well, I ended up getting asked to perform in a giant horse-drawn carriage. Yes, you heard right! I'd never imagined myself waltzing about in a horse-drawn chariot wearing my dazzling pink tutu, but hey, life is all about those wonderful little unexpected adventures. It truly was a spectacular day!

My journey then led me to Consett, and it’s been a real joy. The local people here are fantastic, they have this kind of hearty warmth that is infectious, don’t you think?

And did I mention the incredible stage I performed on? My good friend (who also happens to be a fellow pink tutu devotee - we've been working on getting her in one! I promise I'll tell you about her adventures in a future blog post) arranged a magnificent setup in a beautiful village hall. The lighting, the sound... oh, darlings, the stage was simply dazzling! The whole crowd, and I mean everyone, were chanting, "Pink Tutu Sparkles! Pink Tutu Sparkles!" Oh, it almost made me shed a tear. I am truly blessed!

Speaking of tutus, I’m starting to think I've got everyone hooked on the pink tutu lifestyle! They were all snapping selfies and sharing pics of their fantastic evenings with the hashtags #PinkTutuLife and #PinkTutuQueen. You can bet your bottom dollar, my darlings, this fabulousness isn't just a passing fancy! It’s a movement, an inspiration! It’s spreading like wildfire! 🔥

I really am just living my best life in a world of pink tutus, ballets, and glitter! But what does it really take to live a Pink Tutu Life, you might ask? It's definitely an exciting and fun one. I could never imagine myself doing anything else. It's more than a passion; it's my entire existence!

Before I close up this blog for today, my lovelies, let's talk a bit more about how I’m funding this extraordinary, glittering journey! You know, I don't have some massive trust fund behind me or a glamorous fairy godmother. Nope, my dream started in a very ordinary lab back in Derbyshire. By day, I'm a humble (okay, maybe a little bit glamorous) scientist testing fabric. It sounds a bit boring, I know, but believe me, it’s totally fascinating! 🔬

You see, my darling, you have to balance your life sometimes. By day I am Alex, a modest science geek. But when the moon hits the right angle, well, it’s "Pink Tutu Sparkles" time, performing in venues all over the UK. It's kind of my super-hero act, but a lot less capes and more glitter. I don’t tell anyone at the lab what I get up to, and trust me, it's a tough secret to keep!

The amazing part about being Pink Tutu Sparkles is that I meet so many lovely, fabulous people! They're always encouraging me, supporting my journey, and showering me with compliments. Sometimes even with an amazing gift of pink glitter, a new tutu, or some lovely snacks! 💖

Consett, thank you. You've filled me with inspiration, given me new confidence, and have shown me just how amazing it is to be Pink Tutu Sparkles!

Now, if you want to find out how a scientist-by-day and a drag queen-by-night became a Pink Tutu icon, we need to go back to the beginning, back to Derbyshire! As I mentioned before, I started by day at a lab and was really struggling to balance a regular job with my love of fashion and my deep love of dancing. My first encounter with a tutu came when I was working in my science lab! I went to the uni's charity shop and saw the most fabulous, stunning pink tutu hanging in the window, begging me to try it on. They say it's the clothes that make the woman, but that day, the tutu made the drag queen!

It’s all downhill, as they say! From that moment on, the rest is history. A tutu became an integral part of my life; it became my signature and my persona. It represented my love for femininity, and the fact that I could move and express myself freely in something that felt both empowering and fabulous.

This love for tutus has only gotten stronger with time. I love how a tutu transforms any outfit and instantly makes any day special. There’s a bit of magic about wearing a tutu. It takes you out of the everyday, allows you to be your most fun, joyful self and just adds a splash of colour and sparkle to everything around you!

There’s an inner spark in everyone that can be unlocked by wearing a tutu. Just try it!

When people ask me, "Alex, what is the message you're trying to get across? " my answer is always the same! It’s time for us all to accept the amazing magic of the Pink Tutu! It’s not about just the fashion! It's about confidence, creativity, self-acceptance, and having the courage to stand out and celebrate your fabulous individuality. It's about living a bold, vibrant life with an irresistible splash of sparkle. That’s why I travel across the country!

My ultimate goal is to create a Pink Tutu movement. Yes, you heard it right! I’ve got big plans to inspire the entire world to embrace a little sparkle in their lives and to be the amazing and joyful souls they truly are. Let's create a society where everyone feels confident enough to slip into a tutu and embrace all the sparkling wonder it brings! Imagine how amazing our world would be!
